Geo fence not operating
Netduma Liam replied to ct78's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Assuming you don't have any servers on your allow and deny list, both servers you're seeing there are just authentication servers. Were you actively playing a game at the time? Or were you just going through menus? -
Are you in close proximity to the R2 when running tests on wireless devices? You could try using a Wi-Fi analyser (There's one on the Microsoft Store called 'Wi-Fi Analyser') to find which channels are the least busy in your area, then adjust the R2 Wi-Fi settings to use these channels. That might help!

They seem to mess with their servers a lot when they force launch a game. It will stabilise eventually but for the initial few weeks it requires almost daily updates. We'll update them again today so you should be seeing servers there later on.
-
OK, if it's stable then I won't mess with it, though it would be much better if you could now factory reset it, then upgrade to 3.2.453. It's a big improvement over the firmware you're on now.

You won't see too many blocked icons when searching for a game, that's expected. In the second screenshot you've sent, you're on a French server, so ping would be pretty good. It's also likely many other players connecting to that server are also English, so you might not notice much of a difference in their Gamer tags or language. When you connect to a server in Egypt, does Geo-filter show the server icon being down there somewhere? What's your ping when you're in that game? Just to clarify, Geo-filter isn't spoofing your location, it's simply forcing you to connect to a specific server. The game client and game server will still be very much aware that you're based in the UK. If you're trying to connect to a very distant server, it's not uncommon for the game client/server to refuse to connect you. That's not new to this CoD, happened in the older titles too.
-
Could you instead please try going to Device Manager and changing your PCs device type to Playstation. Then, remove the old profile from Geo-filter and add a new one for the PC. When prompted to pick a service, select Choose Manually. Test that and see how it feels. Of course, make sure you're playing while only connected to the R2 and not to the modem, without the VPN client as well.
-
Instead of doing that, pick 'Choose manually' and it should then work for all games. I'm not sure that Overwatch works too great with Geo-filter at the moment, but give it a test and see anyway!

Error on WIFI channel and WIFI suddenly stop working.
Netduma Liam replied to thewilloxdiaz's topic in Netduma R1 Support
Did you capture the log after the reboot? If so, that would explain why there's not very much in there. Next time the issue occurs, can you try capturing the log from a wired device before you complete the reboot? -
Ping assist broken for MW2 XR700 on latest firmware
Netduma Liam replied to Dina1229's topic in Call of Duty Support
OK, thanks for clarifying. Good to hear the reset seems to have worked, let us know if you run into any problems! -
If you can get it up and running again, can you please go to Network Settings -> WAN -> Enable remote access to tech support. Then, post here from a device connected to the R2 and I'll try to manually re-flash your router and stop this problem happening again.

Mw2 - Warzone - Vanguard servers grayed out and N/A
Netduma Liam replied to JoshTheLuz's topic in Call of Duty Support
We'll be updating it today ready for the weekend, if you resync cloud a little later on you should see the servers updated again. -
DHCP is fine, you don't need to manually enter and special information in the Network settings to get a connection though right? It looks like maybe your speeds are set a little low in DumaOS. What speeds do you expect to get from your ISP? You've got it set to 301/31 but it looks like you might be getting more than that. Interesting, if you disable auto-ping host from the submenu in Geo-filter, then click on the server you're connecting to, can you see the ping then?
-
OK, I think it'd be best for us to get a replacement sent out to you. Can you send an email over to [email protected] with your original order number and delivery address?
-
Ist das immer noch mit Ping Assist auf 0? Können Sie einen aktualisierten Screenshot dessen posten, was Sie im Geo-Filter sehen, wenn Sie in einem Spiel sind?
-
That's interesting, what are you seeing on the Geo-filter map when you try to locate to other regions? Which regions specifically are you trying to connect to?

Firmware 3.2 for XR500
Netduma Liam replied to Stilts29's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Welcome to the forum! We still need to endurance test it so we don't know for sure, but it includes a lot of fixes that resolve similar issues on other units so we're hopeful it has. -
Could you please try setting a static IP in Windows with the following information: IP address: 192.168.77.100 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.77.1 If you're not sure how to do this, please follow this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/27476/How-do-I-set-a-static-IP-address-in-Windows After that, reboot the R2 and see if you're able to access the interface.

Ping Heatmap Request keeps hanging
Netduma Liam replied to ItsAllGonePeteTong's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That error can refer to many requests the browser makes, it also updates the cloud automatically so it may just be that. If it's not causing you any issues, I wouldn't worry about it. -
The XR500 has no modem functionality, so whatever it connects to via it's WAN port must be a modem of some description. Perhaps an ONT? Do you know the make and model of it so we can look into it.

Xr1000 geofence MWII
Netduma Liam replied to patrick10's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
There aren't any icons on the map in that screenshot. When you first boot the game, what do you see on the map? You should see plenty of icons appearing. -
Welcome to the forum! In theory, no, as long as he factory resets in and sets it up fresh for his connection, he shouldn't run into any problems!

Traffic Prioritization - how to prioritize specific ports
Netduma Liam replied to Oren Tasuna's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I would suggest leaving source as 1-65535, then put the destination ports as the port you want prioritised. Yes, FIFA will be added to that list in an upcoming cloud update. -
Can you show a screenshot of the icon on the map? Does it have a ring around it? It's useful to see as that tells us a fair bit more information. Next time you do so, can you also copy the server ID and paste it here?
