Do you know which firmware version you're currently running on the XR1000? Have you factory reset it since it last upgraded to the latest version?
-
They may not have been presenting themselves at the time but it could still have restored an error that could cause Ping Heatmap to fail over time or after a reboot. Perhaps try rebooting again and give it a couple of minutes, does it load properly after that?

Since the setup, just give the R2 a quick reboot and see if you have a connection again after that.

Great answer above. On your questions: Would you be able to send a screenshot of the completed Benchmark test and perhaps your QoS settings too? That might offer some more insight into the varying results. Could you please try going to Settings -> Setup -> LAN Setup and set the minimum DHCP value to .100. Then reserve IPs for every device on the network. Give them IP from .2 to .99. After that, see if the connection still drops. Did you have any other traffic running at the time of the Ping Plotter? Even if you were just watching a YouTube video in the background or something, it could interrupt the ping plotter and drop a packet or two. I agree with Zippy's comments on this, well put!

Hey, you can checkout this guide for that: https://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000087492--dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-hybrid-vpn

Can you send an updated screenshot of how QoS is currently configured?

Ping Heatmap suggestion/issue thread
Netduma Liam replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
It should be back up again, resync cloud and check now. Good idea, though ideally we'd rather improve how we update Ping Heatmap so people don't need to be notifying us that servers are down all the time! We're working on that currently. -
YouTube doesn't quite work the same way, their ads are served from the YouTube domain. If you block that, you can't use YouTube at all. We're looking into whether there's a way to do it, but so far it doesn't look like it's possible with the current solution.

Apologies, I'll try to make sure the team push another update today.

Prioritizing devices/games/services doesn't work

Are the packet counters against the PS4 rule increasing rapidly when you're playing a game? Do you have Congestion Control set to 'Always' still? -
Thanks, we've made the team aware of this again this morning. We'll try get an update pushed for it this today.

Can you disable DumaOS classified games as well as the one for Frostbite engine and test again? -
Firmware 3.2 for XR500
Netduma Liam replied to Stilts29's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Welcome to the forum! We still need to endurance test it so we don't know for sure, but it includes a lot of fixes that resolve similar issues on other units so we're hopeful it has. -
Ping Heatmap Request keeps hanging
Netduma Liam replied to ItsAllGonePeteTong's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That error can refer to many requests the browser makes, it also updates the cloud automatically so it may just be that. If it's not causing you any issues, I wouldn't worry about it. -

It means it took longer than it was expecting, it's likely that it was still successful though. -
Prioritizing devices/games/services doesn't work

OK, for QoS to work properly you need to have all devices on the network connected to the R2, so it has full control over the network. You could try lowering the Download slider in Congestion control down to about 70%, drop upload to 95%/ Then, disable all rules in Traffic Prio except the 'Games Console' rule. -
Yes, that's because these devices are strictly limited to their allocation and cannot borrow from other devices. That's the only way to specifically hard limit a device though.
