ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
We learnt a long time ago not to make any deadlines because with development they're always subject to change. Even launching the beta the internal date changed a few times so we're not going to give a date now. As long as it takes essentially to make it as stable as possible. -

It's really hard to say because I'm not a developer so anything I say about dev timelines etc should be taken with a pinch of salt. Depending on the severity or difficulty of a bug, finding out the cause can take a significant amount of time, plus then actually writing a fix. I think probably what will happen is that we just roll into an open beta - technically the DumaOS on the R1 available now is still in beta. -

raf, there is no conspiracy regarding beta access, just because you haven't received an invite yet doesn't mean you will be waiting until next year. We have put your name forward as well as everyone else here to get it asap. Netgear are sending the invites so you just need to wait for it. We'll try and get you on the beta asap. We're checking the topic daily to add people to our list. -

It's unlikely they skipped you, a lot of people have signed up. We've passed on lots of names to add in addition so hopefully you'll receive an invite soon. -

Alex will have passed on your details, it is up to Netgear to invite you now and I couldn't say when that might happen. -

Hey, welcome to the forum! Everyone who has signed up so far have basically said they signed up as soon as it went live so not all of you can be the first, they will make their way down the list and we'll try and add additional people to each wave also. -

In theory it is capable of those speeds but only with QoS turned completely off i.e. enabling both turbo and super turbo modes so you can't have both unfortunately as the hardware just isn't powerful enough. I'll get the team to check and resend you the email. -

Please don't do that, we're adding people fast to the beta so no need to do this. -

It depends on how busy Alex is and how many he has to move/correct, I'll ask him to update you. -
ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
We're ramping up our testing so at the moment its the XR500 and R1, we'll gradually add more testers and bring on the other routers as and when we can/the firmware is stable enough. We ourselves could not do this easily, however its possible with the use of services that say they have priority routing to game servers. With 3.0 it is much easier for us to bring in more functionality and services. So it is possible in future that you could see something like this in the form of a feature & service if we partnered with a company who offers this. -

There are a few people on twitter who mentioned they've got it. I've seen some people from both forums who have it too. -

Did you enter that into the form as a cloud was done on Friday so it should have been included if it was. The person who does the cloud just looks at the form data so needs to be input there. -

There was a cloud done yesterday, if you want to make sure you got it then click Flush Cloud in the Geo-Filter Map options. -

Did you get an actual invite or a confirmation of sign up? You can still use any VPN on the original firmware, all you need to do is obtain the OpenVPN configuration files from the provider and paste it into the advanced section. Sometimes it can be a little tricky so if you get it and have trouble make a topic and we'll be happy to help. -

If you successfully submitted the form then you'll be signed up. It's not included at the moment but that's feedback that can be provided to NG to influence them to implement it. -
Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Sorry, I should have been more clear. Whitelisting doesn't give preferential treatment/priority to a server as in connect to this over all others, it just allows it to bypass your settings that would restrict it. Adding to the allow list does the same thing. -

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
The cloud can only do three things: Correctly classify a host i.e. change from peer to dedicated and vice versa Move a server to the correct location on the map Whitelist a server so it's always allowed and therefore bypasses the Geo-Filter A connection will appear if there has been some interaction a ping for example. When you do connect to it vs when you don't what is your base ping? If you can't force it all the time using the filter as in you're literally blocking everything else and it still won't put you on it or even appear then there isn't anything we can do about that. -

Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
It might be a back up for MW then only used during peak times etc. If it works with other CoD games and appears for MW too but no matter how hard you try you can't force it then they don't want you connecting to that server at the moment for whatever reason. -

Yes there is a small batch of testers testing it right now and more testers will be added gradually so keep an eye out. Once we've confirmed stability on the XR500 we'll do the 700 as they shouldn't be too dissimilar but the last thing we want to do is spread ourselves too thin. -

Could you put this in the form please in the original post with the relevant information? Just posting the ID I don't know whether it's misclassified, incorrectly located or needs to be whitelisted. When you're searching for a game does it appear? It might be that it's offline or undergoing maintenance at the moment.
