So when it comes to updating I can just download the newer version of Duma OS w/o any worries? Also is this firmware im bout to download able to access 300 down or just 200?

Yes that is right. You may need to clear your browser cache/cookies after downgrading if you can't access the interface properly. It really depends to be honest, you may be able to achieve 300, enter your speeds and allow it to auto setup for you.

Is this fix be put onto the beta for the XR700 or a separate hot fix for the current version?

Both versions should be relatively the same, again it's just what I've heard, I haven't had direct confirmation from NG or users yet so we'll have to see.

New version of the DumaOS 3.0 you will post? Here or on the Netgear beta forum?

It's their beta so on their forum: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-DumaOS-3-0/New-Firmware-v2-3-2-108/m-p/2014594

I tried the newer version but still had an issue. I've now downgraded the r1 to 1-3-6I, once you have a fix for the version 3.0 please let me know i will be more than happy to upgrade again.

    thanks

We will do, does it work on the original firmware then for you?

speaking of mobile app its asking for user name and pass word, i tried the forums user name and password and my routers admin and password and neither will log into the app

It should be the username/password that you login to the router interface with. If that isn't working then for router type select the actual router you're using to login instead of Auto and should work then.

I just bought R2 and I'm wondering if I will able to reach the router through the app using the internet of my phone, maybe when I'm at the office or traveling?

    Hey, welcome to the forum!

Good question, at the moment the app is still in alpha so currently you can only access it by being directly connected to the router wifi but we'll likely implement that in future.

  6. Hey, welcome to the forum!

I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Access the router interface, click the 3 dots icon in the top right of the interface, go to update and upload the sig file there to upgrade.

Ok so I hooked up the router this morning and got everything set.  One concern is using Ookla speed test (pretty much the standard) I am getting on average 850MBS down and 40MBS up consistently but in the Connection Benchmark in the Netduma software I am averaging 520MBS down and 40MBS up.  So my upload speeds are the same but losing on the download.  Also ping on the Ookla is averaging 10-12 where the Connection Benchmark is showing me 23?

Any thoughts on that?  Thank you for your help

The connection benchmark speed test isn't reporting as accurately as it should at the moment so we'll be improving upon that. It won't be limiting your speeds, you'll be getting what speedtest.net says. Benchmark uses the Google server for the ping tests so it won't be the closest server to you as with speedtest.net hence the difference in ping.
