No I mean there just isn't the ability to prioritize ports on SmartBOOST - having the device added is more than enough. UPnP will only open what the game has requested, if you have an open NAT then you're good, no port issues.
-
You can't prioritize ports specifically and it's not needed with the device itself being added
-
Not heard of that before, so any new device that has never been connected to the router connects and everything goes down? Have you changed anything with DHCP at all? You still have warranty, you just wouldn't be able to return that late on

Connecting Netduma R3 to fiber internet

Ah okay so they need to approve new devices, not often that happens but do keep us posted! -
A MAC address isn't case sensitive so you wouldn't need to change it in this scenario

Connecting Netduma R3 to fiber internet
Netduma Fraser replied to Ironclad Calves's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Have you accessed the R3 interface? It may be that it's reverted to the Setup Wizard for you to complete to get internet again. -
It really depends when you purchased but you're likely outside the return period, you can email [email protected] to query it further
-
What firmware version are you on currently? Close the interface, unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, then wait 4 minutes, then access and see if it loads please.

I think you'll have to do a factory reset from the interface to resolve it -
Thanks for letting us know, we're hoping to get a firmware out as soon as possible that should help

Problema Bufferbloat xr500

Don't worry about the auto optimizer, depending on the servers used it could fail/not give the best results. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the XR? -
You don't need to have the UK server covered, it's already pre-allowed. Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like - I would suggest using the radius rather than polygon mode as you're only covering a single area - do make sure to cover a few servers Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

As above, it doesn't work like that, the game doesn't use more than it needs, gaming is a very low bandwidth intensive application/service. What you're seeing for the usage of the game is accurate.

You just download it https://www.dropbox.com/s/n5nk0fxkhzosvp2/XR500-V2.3.2.134-dumaos33-rc14.img?dl=0 and upload it to the router as you would normally, no special procedure needed. -
Could you provide the log from the R2 when you attempt the connection please?

Reinstall the firmware please and then see if it loads correctly -
None of that would be necessary to get the console to be connected - is the console using automatic network setting or manual details? Does it work if you connect it via WiFi?

What settings have you changed on the router specifically for the device, e.g. VPN, Internet Rules, Port Forwarding, DMZ etc?

XR1000 - Call of Duty Dual PC setup
Netduma Fraser replied to DimeRider27's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Please try in this order, testing after each change: Disable SIP ALG on the WAN page Disable port scan and dos protection on the WAN page Disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control -
There is no way to guarantee a perfect game every single time, if the ping is stable at the time and you've managed to get the server you want that's what the server can specifically control. Forcing other servers, even if they're slightly further away with a slightly higher ping may provide a better experience if the server is less under load. Using Steady Ping can help put you more in sync with a server with a more consistent ping but this won't work for every game. Are there differences in ping when it is good vs bad?

It may sound counter intuitive but could you disable UPnP and port forwarding, also no DMZ please then see if it works please -
It wasn't full proof unfortunately, just a theory, could you disable SmartBOOST fully from the SmartBOOST menu temporarily and see if it becomes more stable please?
