Traffic Prio for Halo Infinite on PC
Netduma Fraser replied to Mercy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Makes more sense you're not getting proper full speeds with it disabled either - What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode -
It'll be a required server then and the ping is what I mentioned previously, the last ping response in a trace, the actual ping will be higher but as it's not the game server you can ignore it

Can you set the download to 1000Mbps and then check again please? -
The "best" settings are the ones that work best for you, not everyone will have the same experience as we all have different connections, different devices, different locations etc. Steady Ping increases your ping to absorb any spikes, I'm not sure what the stability of your ping is like but you can try with and without and see how it feels. Ping Assist is just a way to filter getting a server, if you want to force specific servers you want that at 0.

Can you just provide a full screenshot of the QoS page please? -
That's a very hard thing to help with in this instance, you're receiving a very low ping and so in terms of what the router can control it's doing well by all statistics. Try and force a different server further away, even though it'll have a higher ping, does it play any better for you? How are you trying to access? With what device/web browser? What URL are you using? By latest update do you mean public or early access?

Okay thanks, I will chase them for it once they're back

Oh I see, no I don't think so. That's good to hear, hopefully it continues to improve

Reset Bandwidth Allocation then re-run the test and check again please. Otherwise, have you done any Traffic Controller rules or put that testing device in the DMZ? -

I've given you Early Access, please see if the firmware there provides you with more stability https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ -

Great to hear! We'll need to update the service for it then thanks for letting us know. It shouldn't no, where are you testing the speeds in this instance? -
eFootball uses relay servers, so it's used the server in your radius to connect to the server in the US - we can't influence the connection from that server to another server - the ping appears to be low because game servers, including this one do not respond very well to pings, it has taken the last ping response received and displayed it to you. Your best option really to try and counteract this, though it won't always be possible is to use Geo-Latency

Please email [email protected] and we can get this sorted for you

What other settings for the console specifically have you made on the router, e.g. internet rules, port forwarding, DMZ etc? Also check the IP on the console itself, then check the Device Manager on the router for the device you think it is, do the IPs match?

Delete the rule from prio, close the game and steam completely - including steam from the system tray, then make the rule again, then start up steam and the game and see if it works then. If not, does it work with DumaOS Classified Games enabled? -
NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I would generally say that if it's not broken don't fix it. If the only thing you're interested in is deleting devices then I would just take the 5 minutes you'd take to upgrade and delete the devices instead and keep the reliability you have right now. This is a beta version after all so stability may not always be possible. -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535

You can try the above method or try to downgrade using routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm and see if it works that way -
Reboot Scheduling
Netduma Fraser replied to Zeriu's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
We'll have a new firmware pretty soon once the team are back from the holidays that should resolve it for good -
Reboot your modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the R3, wait 4 minutes then check to see if you get a connection. If not, do you know if you require anything like PPPoE/VLAN/DHCP identifiers to get a connection?
