I'm in Australia and ended up disconnecting the duma about 3 weeks ago due to constant beaver errors from various padlocked NA hosts, just wasn't worth the trouble, even in PvE with 2 local players.

Dissapointing to see it's still the case, dominate lag? yeah nah.

I'm in Australia and it works flawlessly. I have the geofilter set to include melbourne, sydney, brisbane and adelaide, with it on i never get kiwi hosts or people from guam. Its a shame you didn't give it a go, with it setup properly its worth its weight in gold.

Just did and nothing. Locked Brazil because is worst than US servers. This is getiting frustrating honestly.

I'm almost certain the game works off timezones, not geolocation. In Australia we get people +/- 3 hours east and west and people from japan, south korea and guam. which are almost 10000km away.

I'm trying right now to see the best setup but it's likely most South American players are connecting to Brazil or the US so hard to get a game before they jump to them.

Yea sadly the great connection from last week has gotten much worse, the past days it's been occasional and today since the update it's constant. Totally understand there's quite a few kinks to work out with the new system bungie went with so hope to see things eventually work great like Duma does with cod and other mps ive tried it on. I'll keep checking back for any new info or updates, for now have to at least attempt turning off geo.

The cloud update should only affect booting, any connection issues are likely to be the game but will continue adding to the cloud.

Thanks, will probably get one out this week.

I got a Quail Error and booted first game. Might need to turn off the Duma for a bit till this gets sorted out getting kicked all the time is a pain in the butt.

I have had to turn off the Duma can't stay in a game at all. I will keep checking back for an update as to when I can turn it back on.

Thanks for the IDs. Where are you from?

Destiny 2 is supposed to be P2P right? I found mostly players in my area but then i got the infamous beaver error. Sure, i found lobbies with geo off in US (mostly with terrible connection), but whats the point of having the Duma if you cant even use its features? This is so frustrating, everytime i go into a gunfight i always lost!

Netduma can't control Bungie's programming. I've been using the Netduma just fine, the beaver errors etc are happening with my friends who do not have Netduma, the servers are still a bit flaky - the game is only 6 weeks old.

Netduma or not, you can still have some issues with the message "Contacting Destiny servers": admins can't resolve because it's an issue with Bungie infrastructure.

But for beaver, coconut, dragon or whatever fruit or animal you have, it's a problem with your configuration.

If your geo-filter is disabled, you can't be booted from the game.

Take a look here if it can help you: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/20726-the-best-settings-imo-for-the-10306-firmware/

I am from Alberta, Canada.

I only ever play people in the US never play anyone in Canada. I think this is a Bungie problem with there match making and SBMM though.

When I travel to the tower I always have plenty of people from Canada there but when I play PvP it's East Coast or South US/Mexico that I play 90% of my games against.

I have the same issue. Im from Ecuador South-America and i rarely play against players from my area. Most of the servers are from the West Coast from US.

I think it's Destiny itself, I have geo off, and I'm getting kicked, randomly, so it's not the Duma causing the issue, definitely not.Getting kicked going to the tower, is there issue, apparently the last patch was to help with this, hasn't worked yet, as I get kicked every now and then.

I've been running Iron Banner in D2 over the last couple of days. Geo-filter on, 850km radius around Sydney in Australia, Strict Mode off, Enable auto cloud and Bleeding edge cloud ticked. UPnP, Hyper-lane for PS4, Reactive, 100/100 U/D, Excess shared, Turbo mode on. As plain-vanilla as it gets. Arris CM8200B modem on HFC NBN, Netduma connected direct to the modem. No disconnects from The Crucible, once when heading to the Tower.

I've always had my Duma setup this way (not quite, U/D was optimised for bufferbloat on a slower connection), have played Destiny pretty consistently since launch and the only R1-related disconnect issue was easily resolved by increasing the Geo-filter to allow the game to connect to the account server somewhere in EU and adding it to the whitelist. I need to do the same when connecting to Titanfall on XB1, before dialling the Geo-filter back to preferred settings.

I've been tempted to try specific cloud settings, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes, if the game is not showing players to connect to thats not our fault. Based on a below quote do you see people in the tower from South America?

That's really interesting actually. Thanks for bringing that up.

Yes, from South America and US. It shows players to connect to, but always prioritize US players.

Oh I gave it a go, I generally don't spend $300 on a product to not use it, I've been giving it a go since the last month or two of D1, it just doesn't work for me as advertised in regards to D1 or D2. The only thing it worked flawlessly for was the WW2 beta. However I tried it again last night with the "new settings" and the beaver errors were back, in fact one of the padlocks was the same id I'd reported on here several weeks ago in Connecticut.

I've seen some admin recommend auto cloud and bleeding edge off, others recommend it on, Chive's guide says no to upnp, other admins say yes to upnp, so it's hard to pin down what is the actual recommended settings. It would be nice to get some clarification on that.

The other night I had auto cloud and bleeding edge off with upnp on and whitelist 40, gameserver 37 and map 28.

I am unsure in regards to profile, are people using "Destiny" or just "General Gaming"?

I don't work for Netduma, i'm just here to help the community.

I used port forwarding before the Netduma and i know it works better on Destiny.

You can use the last values on the cloud settings with both options unticked.

For now, if you have errors on pve/pvp, it's because Bungie different types of servers to connect you on different activities.

For the moment, we've found 60% of them and it's a lot of work so if you can provide some ID, the new cloud update will be available soon.

There is no issues on the Netduma, it's just a game made with paper clips and glue.
