purpleandgold33 Posted December 16, 2016 Share Posted December 16, 2016 Lots of issues with lag in this game. I bought this router a few years ago can't remember exactly when. But I'm pretty sure it was around when AW came out. I've never had issues in that game or any other cod games since except this one. It seems like I'm like a second behind everyone. I thought that when you had your radius setup no hosts would be outside that circle. I know I have all of the right stuff set up cause frazer helped me set it up a long time ago. Maybe it's just this game. I upgraded to the new 1.03.6 and its a little better. I'm not a computer whiz but I kinda caught on to stuff over the years reading about how to get better game play. Sett.->Misc.->Reboot which usually takes less than 3 minutes. Regarding the lag, it's most definitely the game as I'm having the worst experience in a long time as in taking forever to shoot someone and getting melted on the other side. Example I'll cross the middle lane and look left/right then head either direction however get killed. In the kill cam I made eye contact and blew kisses at the enemy then go on my way while I get shot in the back lol I'm on PS4 so can't say the same for the X1 experience. Only the host of that party will be in the circle. Also nv4 or raw for gun. Rest have too many hit markers. Strict is always on i use the nv4 too. Lots of high ping games. And then the next game I'll be struggling to get off zero with a tear in my eye. It doesn't help that in some lobbies you end up running about and can't find anyone because they are all just hiding hoping to get that shot in your back. Can't understand why people bother playing if that's what they're going to do. I'm well aware that it takes me until about 3rd prestige before I actually reach the level where I can be the player that can win a match on their own. Until then I make good bait for my team mates but some games I'm just cannon fodder. When I hit those 'bad' lobbies, I just back it up and find another. The cash cow has been milked for all it's worth. It's time for gamers to move on and put Activision on notice that we're not going to put up with this crap anymore. If they've put those 'demo players' in the mix with those of us that have had the game since launch, it's going to be fun. Not counting monitor, jitter, input delays, etc. U can shorten packets by lowering mtu, some have tried this. I personally use mtu 1492 So do u change your mtu on the router or the console. Changing mtu is at your own risk. Mods here frown on it saying it's a placebo or miss information . All I can say. Change at your own risk. I've been doing this personally since ghosts. Thanks man! I'm almost scared to do it for if they actually fix the game soon I won't remember what I changed. Like I said in my original post. You need to find the lowest MTU for "Your Connection" there are programs on the web which will help you to determine what this is for your connection. I would personally do a little research on the subject before doing it. I have personally done this and noticed no difference other than my ps4 kept throwing error codes, all worked fine but the error codes kept appearing. I have had the same experience, some games you are like a destroyer of worlds the next you cant hit a barn door stood in front of it. Im probably about the same percentage as you of good to bad games. Put in another title, Titanfall 2 or MWR and the games play as you would expect for the most part with the odd crappy lobby. I have asked for over 2 years now for people who throttle to post up extended video game play to show the difference between throttled and not and to date have had no takers, Maybe I should extend that invite to people who lower their MTU and see how many takers I have on that. I want to know why if im playing on a uk server, with a 7ms ping, my games are always dominated by spanish, italian and portuguese players? ping is king? not on call of duty lol. I feel your pain as I did on MW3, The problem in my humble opinion is how the game resolves ping etc, Whenever there are spanish or italian players in any COD lobby the game plays awful, I put this down to their damned awful internet infrastructure with loads of jitter etc. It really is bad. Couple that with the developers "region locking" Europe, America (north and south) then the rest of the world and you will realise that region locking in game means not a lot. The one thing I tried tonight was to keep my home location away from where I live in the U.K. Use Cod ultimate set to cover U.K. Only Strict On PA 0 Boot the game with Geofilter enabled Huge difference for me try it!!!!
