Has anyone else connected to a server and checked where it is located?  I'm connecting to US East and the servers all show California location.

Possibly mis located, do the pings seem to show an east server or Cali?

How can i disable geofilter but get the best possible ping available?

Use congestion control, 70/70 anti-flood, console in hyper traffic.

Fraser, its the server in Cali specific.. im experiencing the same thing.. everytime i search for a game in bf1 my geofilter refuses to find a game. Like it searches for 1 than dissconnects me. But if I have the geo filter covering cali it will work from the server there.. the problem is i live in Florida and would love to have it work around a smaller radius.

the server locations are really limited in cod sorry battlefield BFCOD1, every one loves COD sorry i mean BF1, its so hard for me to tell them apart as BF1 is nothing like BF and is very much COD.

the game has really limited server numbers so await the huge packet loss and massive lag issues which will cripple this title when they pull huge numbers of servers and make you all pay for them lol, played COD since it first launched on PC, played BF since it launched as 1942 on PC.

BF1 is not BF, end of discussion, its not a bad game but its way to noob/casual focused and not a game i care to play. BF1 has fewer servers than BF4 which had less then BF3.  They will pull a number of those and make them the servers that players can pay for, when that happens, the lag and packet loss issues that crippled bf4 will reek havoc on this game, frame rates already junk the ps4 and xbone. the EA pay to win brainwashing you all are suffering from will fade lol

in fairness i bought COD this year, as BF has become COD why bother not playing COD4 remastered, the God Father of FPS games and the reason FPS games are so popular, plus its way better, sad that a ten year old game will and still is one of the greatest shooters.  :(

How are you searching for a game as I believe it has a built in server browser so you can pick the server you want to play on?

Is this in the Operations matchmaking you are experiencing the issue?

I just do a normal conquest game... and the only server that works with geofilter is the cali one. Im not using the custom server selection by the way.

Aren't you a chirpy chappie.

BF4 plays fine for me, never seen any lag.

BF1 isn't much like CoD either.

I connected to a "West" server yesterday and was seeing ~60ms ping.

The "East" servers were getting me around ~30ms ping.  It may very well be a location thing.

If I get a chance, I'll try to get some IDs of servers tonight.
