RolidSnake
Hey guys, Just a little something I noticed and wanted to share my thoughts on this... It has been nearly 8 months since BO3 has been release and there are still new forum topics asking for best settings/fixes for lag etc using the Duma. Now, I'm not saying the Duma doesn't work because I do not have any problems with any other online game (e.g BF4, Overwatch, Destiny etc - which have all been lag free for me) but it's safe to say that BO3 is destined never to to be completely lag free. Even when I played the game every night there was no guarantee I'd have a lag free evening using the Duma. Sure it helps, but it does not (at least for me) fix problems which are solely down to BO3. I just feel the games archaic netcode and rinse and repeat engine along with hybrid servers are the main issue. With that being said, do you think it's fair to ask that we stop creating the same thread over and over again? I've been fairly quiet on this page of late but I still frequent to see what's going on and most topics are usually BO3 and lag orientated and most of the questions/concerns I glance over have definitely been mentioned more than once in previous posts. Surely it can't be that heard to search the forum for an answer before posting up the same old questions?!Sorry for the rant, but it's literally like Groundhog Day on some of these threads... Yes, this is a thread for Duma users to talk about their routers but when the 90% of the topics are of the same thing (take that percentage with a pinch of salt) it gets a little daunting. I'm fully expecting some flack for this post, but at the same time I'm hoping it will give all the administrators and Fraser a rest responding to the same old questions I see on here time after time. Zennon
In past cods when you came up against a player that has a jittery line it was smoothed out so you couldn't tell wtf moment ensue. I like the way it is now smooth until i get close to a jittery player then my screen judders alerting me of who is the jittery player. Some people think it is jitter on their end and get upset. secretface
Its never going to stop and if you go to other forums, not even game related its always that way. I would say ignore it if its bothering you. Or save the responses and copy and paste some answers. LOL
ColonicBoom
I agree that it's annoying but some people are as incapable of using the search as they are of using the wiki. It's extremely wearing to see the same 'new' thread every day. Even more wearing is that people that post them don't just do it once, they post in the shoutbox (several times), then eventually a support thread having 'tried everything', then they get a 1on1 and then a couple of days/weeks later they post exactly the same thread again. Then they start off by bashing the Netduma or the people that have given them the answers previously. Then they won't listen to the answers given unless they match their own opinion making them even more painful to deal with. I don't see how it can be stopped though, if they don't get answers (within a few minutes) then they will just act like poison for the Netduma and fuel for the haters. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 29, 2016 Administrators Share Posted June 29, 2016 I am completely revamping the wiki to make it way easier to search for what you need, include the latest up to date info etc. I hope that will improve things. Need to upgrade the forum as well, that will hopefully improve things. At the end of the day there is only some much you can do to make0 the information as easily findable as possible. It was merely an observation which turned into a mini rant. It's one of the main reasons I've been quiet on the forum because I cba talking about the same thing over and over! UK_Wildcats_Fans
A suggestion is to create a BO3 sticky topic that describes how to setup Duma for BO3 (i.e. geo filter, PA, CC, etc.) and then describes the issues with BO3. Then we can reference each new topic to the sticky topic.
major masingil
most people want to be told what to do instead of reading and educating themselves and then asking questions. Unfortunately the people who are still making those posts will most like continue to do so no matter how amazingly intuitive you set up the wiki or forum searches. you can tell who has tried to figure it out because they have specific questions. The users with a post, " what are the best settings for Blops " and that's it, haven't tried on their own.

Illustrated perfectly by people asking a pile of questions in the shoutbox and you say "it's in the wiki" and they say "where's the wiki?"

Dillinger
it's like 2 unsalted crisps worth of weight there wtf!? Maybe Brexit will bring you back to normal size bags LOL - That's like 1 crisp, some broken piece residue in the bottom and the bag itself for 24grams. That is a "normal size" for a toddler. I need about 6 of those to make a side with my lunch.
ColonicBoom
And the crisps bags are tinfoil (sort of) now - I heard that it's because the crisps will try to steal your thoughts...

fuzzy clam
Unfortunately this will always be an issue as people are lazy by nature and will take the path of least resistance, that's why McDonalds is so popular...simple,easy and quick with little to no effort on the consumers part. What we have to do is find a way to minimize the situation and I think that Fraser is doing just that by revamping the WIKI. But in the end this is an info and help site for a consumer product,so we IMO will always have this issue as all other sites do. But damn it would be nice if people would learn to use the search function but I know a lot of people don't use it as they feel the info they find is old an outdated, and everyone want's the latest up to date info.
