DiGz got a reaction from Saberous in Experiencing the same issue I have on the R2, with the R3.
People are just oblivious too it man. Its why it's marketed as, better ping, better gaming experience etc etc. The only thing dumaos has going for it is geo filter. The software itself is poorly coded and poorly managed. The only time I could say the software worked was back with the r1 prior to dumaos. The router is aimed at the non technical hence the forums filled with people asking basic questions.

@Netduma Fraseri think the forums need to go back to the dont ask when the next update is like back in the r1 days 😂

Possible. at this point most anything is possible. I can say however that I am getting satisfactory results at this point. I did turn on the addblocker for a day and had never used an addblock before of any kind. If I remember correctly it is off by default and may well be the one component that is breaking this whole thing. I have had few problems since I turned that💩back off. I hypothesize that if they gave up completely on that one feature and focus on the gaming aspect that we bought this router for........ it would be increadible!!! I'll bet that if you asked every single person who bought the router if they even considered the addblocker feature when considering purchasing the router...... NO ONE would have said that it was a consideration.
HEY DEVELOPERS!!!!!! CAN I GET A BUILD WHERE THERE IS NOT AN ADDBLOCKER EVEN INCLUDED IN IT?????!?!?!?! I HAVE NO INTEREST IN IT AND ONLY WANT THE GAMING FORWARD FEATURES.
AND to NET DUMA I say, you sold me a gaming router on the advertisement that it would improve gaming. Stop wasting precious time trying to block adds. STOP IT!!!!!

I've been hearing ( end of this week or early next week) for almost 2 weeks now. It's frustrating that we all payed for a router that has not worked 100% as promoted.

The router is not functioning as of 0.23.... There all the problem that Nalsano_ is talking about and mine keeps disconnecting my whole house at ramdom.... The R3 is a hot mess right now.....

Hello everyone, when will this famous update this beta version ?
I've been here since the first hour r1 xr500 and now r3 except that I just bought a new router in beta version at over 223euros that annoys me.
Upnp works 1/5, no hybrid VPN, the maximum speeds are pitiful and irregular, an increase or even a fluctuation in ping which is the complete opposite of buying a gaming router, a processor core which goes up to 100% without any activities or reason and one that remains at 0%!!
In short, netduma, what are you planning to do? The router is more than 1 month old and the features and performance that made us buy this router are not present or functional.
We're talking about the features that are in the product description!!! What are the solutions ?!

Unfortunately I’m stuck with this shit router ! Pass my 14 days , it’s my fault for even thinking things were changing . Lesson learned. I no longer support this company

I wasn't looking for support or asking for it.
I was informing people of how problematic this router is. That way they can make an informed decision before purchasing. As of today, the R3 forums have 22 pages of user complaints that this device isn't working properly or as intended. This device has only been out for a little over a month. The R2 forums have 139 pages of complaints. Both forums have identical issues and should cause concern to would be buyers.
Myself, my brother and 5 friends bought the R2's and R3. We have all returned them.
The biggest issue of the Netduma R2/R3 series is how the OS stalls out or becomes un-responsive. "The OS of this router constantly stalls out. DumaOS not loaded yet'" or "This Rapp is not loaded yet, please try again in a minute" or "RPC error "ERROR_UNKNOWN...." or "Operation is taking longer than expected "or the never-ending progress spin."
I have never had that OS issue with the following routers brands. Asus, Netgear without Duma OS, Linksys, Cisco, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Dell Sonic wall, and D-Link.
Most people buy Netduma routers for COD. Sadly, I get a better experience with my current Asus AX6000 router than I did with the R2 or R3.
I'm one of three network administrators for the company I work for, and before you say it. Networking is networking and the servers Activision/Microsoft use is based off a business network environment.
I talked my manager and the owner of the company into letting me test my COD gaming experience during a patch weekend. I had a better experience playing COD at work with a gigabyte ISP with a Dell TZ670 SonicWALL and that's a firewall (Network Topology goes, ISP Modem> Firewall> Cisco 3750-X Switch)!
Either this OS /router is a gimmick or you have serious manufacturing and quality control issues and that's concerning!

DiGz got a reaction from sharpz44 in Not recieved it yet but seems there’s loads of issues
Look at the specs and history of how they handle updates etc. Easy return if you were suckered in. Yeah good idea, asus are miles ahead in terms of router reliability and performance also with updates. Geo filter not needed here in Australia as we only have 1 location for all dedicated game servers. They all give me 2ms

DiGz reacted to l2eactionz in Ping, jitter and speed worse than ISP router (steady ping disabled)
I'm having this exact issue thought it was time of day but its definitely the router through put. All disabled I.e. smartqos ping optimiser even though this shouldn't effect speed tests. I even set the speedtest back to 1gbps up and down so it's at full power........
I think this may be a tad too much for the hardware. Would have rather paid more for a premium product and software vs ehat may end up being returned.
I've done many tests and also get anywhere from 600 to 800mb. As soon as I plug in my old xr500 I get 900 plus instantly

DiGz reacted to Seb1991 in Cannot log into DumaOS from Mac or IOS
This is getting a little frustrating now. I've described the issue a number of times, clearly it's quite complex and it seems like you're trying to fob it off. This is an issue with how my modem/ISP is not allowing the NetDuma to "host" internet. If you can't resolve, that's fine, but let's at least try address the issue itself... I'm going to request a refund if not, as the product is not working as advertised.

DiGz got a reaction from Derek2626 in My personal experience so far with the R3
That's what happens when they drop lower tier hardware inside. You should never buy these routers for their wifi/networking. Only the dumaos features. It was a shame that the r3 wasn't a high end router, could of been a banger
-
DiGz reacted to scbba in MW 3 what's working for you?
It’s not sbmm it’s the eomm algorithm that’s giving the issues as it manipulates the in game experience.

DiGz reacted to santa78 in ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
It's really a shame that the latest model is inferior in terms of hardware to a model that's five years old.
I wanted to change the router to benefit from an up-to-date and stable DumaOS firmware, but it's impossible because I need this specific connectivity..

Lan to lan ethernet, change r2 ip to something outside of r3 dhcp range and disable dhcp on the r2

@Netduma FraserWhen pre-ordering I see that only the data of the country, city and postal code can be filled in, where the data of the street, house number, etc. would be placed.

DiGz reacted to crunkjuice1 in ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
The reason some people ask on CPU manufacturer specs is because a ways back a certain company’s hardware was in fact at the heart of lag and slow downs. I’m sure everyone knows about this by now as this information is years old.
regardless of this it’s time to turn my ancient XR500 into an access point.
R3 here I come! Happy holidays everyone ✌🏽🪄🖖🏾🕯️🛸❤️🎊🦃🫘👀💛

Pretty good, we haven't had any problem in that regard and we're still working to improve everything.
Yes it handles both.
Haha if only! Thank you and thanks for purchasing!

DiGz got a reaction from crunkjuice1 in ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
Nice thanks for the info. So it's a cortex a7 based soc. How does it handle gig wan?
Guessing the soc also includes the wifi stuff rather than being separate like in other routers.

DiGz got a reaction from crunkjuice1 in ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
Broadcom is the leader and i wouldn't expect anything else for the asking price. But I bet you it's a mediatek soc, doubts if it's qualcomm.

I have covered it previously: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52453-announcement-introducing-the-netduma-r3/?do=findComment&comment=384255
It's this one here: https://www.broadcom.com/products/wireless/wireless-lan-infrastructure/bcm6756 yes it does allow for 160 width.
We have chosen hardware that is more than capable of running DumaOS smoothly. DumaOS 4 is very lean and efficient, it doesn't need a lot of RAM. 1GB would be complete overkill and just increase the price you pay for the router.
It's the one I linked above - Broadcom.

We've added the chip name on the tech specs section on the website - we didn't realize people would be so interested in it!
