Hi ! As the changelog indicates there is a lot of improvement on this FW, so the decision is up to you, at worst you can always go back to FW.41!

    Hi everyone,
The wait is over, we're happy to deliver the latest R3 firmware. It contains months of work from our development team, with a big focus on improving the stability and reliability of our features.
    Main Changes:
Hybrid VPN is here: this is long standing Netduma feature which allows you to run your VPN through your router and then choose which devices or applications the VPN should be applied to. This means you can run your VPN on things that usually hard run a VPN on, such as Smart TVs and consoles. Hybrid VPN is compatible with OpenVPN and WireGuard, so make sure your VPN provider supports one of these protocols. Added UPnP Relay. Previously, if your R3 was connected underneath an ISP router, you'd likely see a Double NAT reported on your games console unless you did some manual port forwarding. UPnP Relay pushes port opening requests from your devices up the chain to your ISP router, meaning you should get an open NAT with no additional configuration needed Some users reported issues with Chromecast or Airplay, or transferring files locally. These are fully fixed now. Many quality of life / annoying bugs fixed, including improved IPv6 and PPPoE support, increasing the reliability of the Geo-Filter ping graph and increasing the reliability of the Ping Optimiser test (with further improvements to come) A longer changelog is below.
We want the Netduma R3 to be the best router in the world, and we're taking another step towards that goal with this firmware. We'll continue working on and releasing updates, so please give us any feedback you have.

    INSTALL GUIDE
You can install the firmware using one-click update. Simply open up DumaOS and look for the green "Update Available" icon.

It's a cloud issue, it can't be resolved on your side, the team are already aware and looking into it.

    Hey all,
Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the release of 3.2.
I'm just writing a quick post to let you know that we're looking for Early Access testers for future R2 DumaOS releases, starting with this one.
The purpose of the early access group is to test new firmwares on a larger scale right before we release them publicly.
Please note that these firmwares might not be completely stable and you may find issues, so beware of this before choosing to upgrade to them.
Go ahead and sign-up below: we'll reach out if you've been added!

We're doing what we can, the more DumaOS evolves the harder it becomes to have it working on an older router like the R1

My mistake, someone else asked this exact thing yesterday!
No it won't be limiting you to the speeds reported there so you're all good, glad to hear you're having a good experience!

I believe I spoke to you yesterday about this but it's due to the servers we use and what server it may choose for you, if you get good speeds on speedtest.net then you can ignore it

It would be great to have everything controlled by DUMA OS for large homes, concrete houses, signal congested or multi-story houses.
I say this because it would be more practical than buying an additional Mesh to connect it to the Router and having double IPs or NAT problems.

I love the idea, it would be great to have an ecosystem of products like this. We are a software company at heart so I'm not sure if this would fit our future plans but it's definitely worth thinking about, I'll add it to our ideas list!

Could you temporarily completely disable QoS from the three-line menu in Congestion Control and run another Connection Benchmark test? What results do you see?

Tua PR reacted to Newfoundland in XR500 VS Netduma R2
I don’t believe the XR500 has adblocker but both have geo filter.
it boils down to hardware, the XR500 is higher priced due to its hardware and WiFi capacities, faster processors, better WiFi coverage, beamforming, throughput and so on.
The R2 is a replacement for the R1, priced to be competitive and is Netdumas own router. While it’s WiFi might not match those of the XR500 if your router that you use now has good WiFi and is able to be put in Access mode you could use that instead of the R2 WiFi.
It just boils down to what you want and what devices you have to your network requirements.

Hello to all the Netduma Team & the old school members ! Its been a while.
It's great to hear you've started the rollout of Netduma 3.0 beta 😎
    Congratulations !! 🎉
To say everybody has been on lockdown due to the Plandemic, it's good to hear about your continued work.
I see the forums toxicity is still present with some thinking they're entitled to something straight away & ignore the reasons why you might not have been as quick as you wanted to be with releases. I bet it's difficult to juggle business after recognition, partnering & expansion which has had a springboard effect probably higher than first anticipated.
As always, best of luck going forward & all the best for the future 🤞👍
