SM961 got a reaction from Moofda in New Jersey server for BO6 only.
My ping varies between 70 ms and 200 ms, and I cannot connect to the CA server only.

Quite possible a newer cloud update caused an issue on it due to incompatible firmware, it would be best to upgrade it back to 3.0.

The game doesn't use P2P so those servers will actually be misclassified as peers. Given you're on that pre DumaOS version I doubt you'll be getting the latest cloud updates that would fix that.

Using old school R1 firmware, really trying to make me rack my brain today huh!
Make sure you have strict mode enabled and Ping Assist set to 0, then restart the game and try again please.

So far this firmware is worse stability. The wifi randomly quits and has to be rebooted multiple times a week.

SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in I gig connection
You won't see any saturation with QoS on regardless of the speeds. Although it's harder to saturate your speeds a single download could saturate it which is why it's still a good idea to use it.
-
SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in I gig connection
You don't have to disable it but you could set it to Auto Enable so it only applies when gaming and the rest of the time you'll get full bandwidth
-
SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in I gig connection
We will try to improve it as much as we can but it will be limited by the locations of the available servers
-
SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in I gig connection
Yes and no, it's due to the speedtest servers we use, they don't report the full speeds for everyone, it depends on what server it tries to connect you to
-
SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in I gig connection
It's because it's reporting half the value you have set, as long as you're getting expected speeds through speedtest.net for example then no need to worry, the router won't be limiting you.

SM961 reacted to Newfoundland in I gig connection
That depends on your network, the amount of clients and what’s being served via the net or internal sources.
-
SM961 reacted to Krush in I gig connection
Only TP will be necessary in your case! However, you can set the QOS to 70/70% in case the other 4 and more devices "saturate" the bandwidth DL. But that is really unlikely!

It will still be quite useful in that case! I'd suggest following the below guide to get it setup.

SM961 reacted to Netduma Fraser in CC not working on XR450, LASTEST UPDATE.
It will always show that's absolutely normal, you can just ignore it

Glad to hear you managed to resolve it! Not necessarily, it's our recommended starting point but we do suggest experimentation to find what works best for your connection. It could be higher or lower than that.

SM961 got a reaction from JOE1305 in Intel's Puma 6 chipset suffers from latency & jitter, fix soon.
So, I replaced my TM1602A with my old modem SB6120 and the spikes are gone according to my Netduma's ping diagnostics. Now I'm getting everything exeptional.

I'm not saying that no arris modems work, but I'm saying the TC-7610 TP Link just works BETTER for gaming. I had the SB6141 and it seemed to work okay for me too until I used something else and it was a very clear difference even though my SB worked fine to me.

*NOTE FROM NETDUMA FRASER*
Keep in mind, the R1 still works with those listed you just may get a better experience with those in the compatibility list. Some people use those in the non compatible list and have no issues.
There is no reason to purchase another modem/router unless you have specifically found issues with your existing modem/router.
You are advised to do your own research before making a financial commitment.

SM961 got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Intel's Puma 6 chipset suffers from latency & jitter, fix soon.
Last month when I replaced my modem that I got from my cable company Charter I thought I was replacing it with the latest greatest future proof modem boy was I wrong, I was wondering why all of the sudden my Netduma was acting weird whenever I would do a ping test would get spikes that I even called the cable company and complained that there was something wrong with my line, what they don't know is the they giving customers a bad modem. Now that I have my old modem everything is the way is supposed to be. Thanks Zennon for the heads up. If it's not broken don't fix it.
