Keep losing ethernet connection on xr1000
DARKNESS replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@Bluegixer1I would reboot the modem after you set it up and it connected to the XR somes time modems don't refresh IP etc and so the router won't have internet access -
It the same thing it doesn’t block all ads your running a dns for the pie it not much different
-
I believe it because you have the interval set to 1 second your not going to get accurate data like that I forget the reason why that is though it might just be router hardware etc so just set it 2.5 and you should be able to see more accurately what happening Also that just the gateway your not going to get much from that if your testing qos settings
-
Answer no you could in theory block some adds using a dns that paid but it not going to block all ads....though it does block spam ads in sites but from personal experience i don't like dns since for me they're useless and can affect sites not loading but they do work for blocking ads in games so there are some pros also I am referring to mobile game ad spams that are extremely tedious if your a mobile gamer not that I am but I have tested it before in the past.

XR1000 firmware
DARKNESS replied to Michael Carrasco's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@immudaIt not an official patch by netduma so there are no major changes and the previous firmware there have been several bugs notified upon so I would guess by the next firmware patch they should all be fixed though I couldn't guarantee anything just hearsay as of currently -
Abysmally slow speeds on PS5 and also kind of everywhere.
DARKNESS replied to Atom Glory's topic in Netduma R2 Support
The range for the R2 is limited to be honest and max speeds on Wi-Fi are about 200ish I’d recommend putting your asus router in AP mode and turning off the Wi-Fi on the R2 so you can have better wireless experience. An exemption would be if your having routers far apart then you could leave the wifi on the R2 on and it basically acts as an access points etc i would preferably play lan but if not an option that my best recommendation -
I smell ddos user 😂 it doesn’t generally matter the addresses change your not going to be connecting to one specific IP constantly it something called servers that why they change on the same data center

NEW R2 FIRMWARE: 3.3.502 - SmartQoS Version 4 ???
DARKNESS replied to Syns's topic in Call of Duty Support
@HoodedMenaceHe said he does it nothing new kiddo and not every vpn does the same thing they're special vpns which are the ones used for exploiting scummy systems I don't use one neither do I condone one but I understand users that would use it to negate the headaches of losing 50 matches straight and winning 1 do to predatory schemes and even then they don't work 100% except maybe some expensive ones that are milking you dry for cash 😂 -
Firmware XR1000 version 1 (.44) is better than (.64 and .68)
DARKNESS replied to Derlandes's topic in Community Discussion
They’re no difference it just a security update for the router it not an official netduma update it netgears do to security exploits etc -
adBlocker missing on XR1000?
DARKNESS replied to Sianlu's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You have to add the adblocker manually if you want to use it -
SmartQoS Version 4 like having AimBot!
DARKNESS replied to TODDzillaInLA's topic in Call of Duty Support
Dem bots players are real dude though nice play 😂 -
Should Mu-mimo and implicit beam forming be on?
DARKNESS replied to Rozay's topic in Community Discussion
@RozaySounds like placebo to me you would need accurate proof for that dude I run an XR1000 and I have all those features and more and no difference mu-mimo is only used if your on wifi it has no affect on wired Ethernet as it a tool to improve wireless signals around devices -
I wouldn’t necessarily be shocked since they do the same to cheaters in-game and the servers are like apex when your lagging it gives you an advantage silly as hell and it shouldn’t be like that it no one’s fault you live on the forest in the middle of nowhere
-
@thisisreallifeI wouldn't recommend that it just capping your speeds and probably going to have an inferior experience just make a traffic prioritization rule and add your device so it doesn't suffer from latency from other users in household plus any new device that is detected will shift your bandwitch allocation settings and cause problems instead that only if you have several users and decide to do the following on the video.
-
Are you running pub firmware or beta? If your running pub firmware you would since it would apply to lan cable if you didn't apply it you wouldn't be prioritizing properly but it would in theory just half assed 😂 Bandwidth allocation is the setting that allows you to allocate bandwidth it not sharing excess When you add the device to your traffic prioritization it gives you the option to apply advanced and then you select wan if your wired if not then you don't select it
-
You should work in being more clear barely understand you but if you want to change the name/device of something you just go to device manager and select the device and the options should pop up
-
You can't copy someone else's settings and expect to work for you it something your supposed to test yourself So what you want to focus is in decreasing your buffer bloat in the benchmarks it call under load on netduma try to get that as low as possible by decreasing your cc sliders and apply always for them to appear while running benchmarks you can change it after...lastly look at traffic prioritization and prioritize the device your using you said ps5 so that would be games console and apply wan in advanced and that would be pretty much everything. I would not recommend using bandwidth allocation personally it useless feature for most users
-
Best estimate I could give anywhere between 2-3 months from the looks if not by the end of the year I am not netduma related just a tester
