So if your line has problems, you'd need to speak to you ISP about this, there's not much a router can do about that. If your ping issues are due to your current ISP router/modem handling the traffic poorly or there's lots of other traffic on your network such as downloads/netflix streams etc, the R2 can fix this for you.

Can you create a new topic for your issue and be sure to include the below information: The firmware version you're currently running on the R1 The make and model of your mobile device Any steps you've tried so far to troubleshoot the issue

Is it definitely still enabled from the wireless settings on the XR700? I believe you need to download the Nighthawk app on your mobile device.

OK cool thanks for checking. So when you connect to a game on the Xbox, can you check Geo-filter and see where it's showing the server to be? And what ping are you getting to that server?

MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Liam replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
You can pick Gaming/Voice there. Which firmware version are you running out of interest? -
Can you please try disabling IPv6 on the XR500, then reboot the console and see what it says after that? You can do this from Settings -> Advanced Settings -> IPv6.

RPC error 'ERROR_VALIDATION': Validation failed for 'ips'
Netduma Liam replied to cayo97300's topic in Netduma R2 Support
If you try using a different browser or access the interface from an incognito/private window, do you still see the error? If not, clear your browser's cache and that should resolve the problem for you. -
Could you please completely remove the app from your phone and re-install it? There's a large amount of changes between the two so it's worth a fresh install. Glad to hear you're using it and like how it looks!

Welcome to the forum! So previously, when you would enter a new config file, it would remove the services you've added. Now, they are not removed. Is that correct? Do they still work after you change location? How are you checking your location? If you're using a web browser, make sure you use an incognito/private window as these kind of pages get cached by the browser.

We're updating them again today, they seem to mess about with their servers a lot when the game first launches, they did it with Vanguard and Cold War too. We're now also working on a more permanent solution to the problem which should affect users much less. Update your cloud again later today and you should see the servers back.
-
@Bul Remove your current profile, then re-add it. Instead of selecting a service, pick 'Choose manually' when prompted to pick a service. Give that a test and see how it feels. We're updating the Ping Heatmap servers for MW2 again today. They seem to mess around with their servers a lot when the game first launches, we're also working on a solution that will affect you guys less when this happens.

MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Liam replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
@alex.devine @johnnytran Have you guys tested out my suggestion above? The key part being adding the custom rule to Traffic Prio, I think it should help you. As you mention, we are also working on a update to help DumaOS detect the new CoD's traffic much more fluently, that should improve matters. -
MW2 Shoot First Die first? how to fix this?
Netduma Liam replied to ownal0t's topic in Call of Duty Support
This one's likely all about QoS. My initial suggestion here for you: Make sure ALL devices on your network are connected through your R2 Make sure your bandwidth speeds are set correctly in QoS (Click the three-line menu in Congestion Control -> Set Bandwidth Speeds) Set Congestion Control sliders to about 70% each, to start with. Set Congestion Control to Auto-enable Disable ALL rules in Traffic Prioritisation Manually add a new rule to Traffic Prio, select the device you're playing on, then select 'Games Console' as the service. Go ahead and play some games and see how it feels. If you're still having issues, post a screenshot of how QoS and Geo-filter are currently setup. -
NetDuma R2 - Ping HeatMap not working after update to 3.2.453
Netduma Liam replied to Rafco2020's topic in Netduma R2 Support
The servers are changing a lot, they always seem to do this when they release a new game. We're updating Ping Heatmap again now so all going well they should be updated again in a couple hours. -

How big of a difference are we talking? Can you provide a screenshot? Generally I think we'd expect Upload to be a bit higher than Download, but not a massive difference.
-
Can you provide some screenshots of how you've currently got QoS configured so we can check there?
-
Hey @Nuschler22, I replied to your on another thread, but it's probably easier if we continue here. Just something I'm curious about, if you completely disable QoS from the three-line menu in Congestion Control, does the game feel any better? I suspect part of your problem may be that your game isn't being prioritised properly.
-
Can you share how you've currently go Geo-filter configured with a screenshot perhaps? What ping on average do you get to a close server?
-
Could you please try adding a new rule to Traffic Prioritisation. Select your PC as the device and select 'Games Console' as the service. After that, disable the other rules in Traffic Prio and play some games to see how it feels.
-
Do you mean traffic that's going through Hybrid VPN, or traffic that's coming from a device with a VPN client installed on it (I.E The traffic is already encrypted)? If Hybrid VPN, just prioritise as normal in Traffic Prio, Hybrid VPN applies after QoS, so the traffic is still un-encrypted when it hits QoS. If the traffic is already encrypted, this is a little risky to prioritise as we can't DPI the traffic so we don't know exactly what it is. For example, if a device starts downloading an update over the VPN, it'll be prioritised over everything on the network and slow things down.

Power Outage During Firmware Update..

Glad to hear you recovered it, do you mind sharing your solution to the problem in case anyone stumbles across a similar issue in future? -
Qos for Gaming on Smart Phones
Netduma Liam replied to djhixson88's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Yes, there's no reason why not. The biggest obstacle currently is detecting that type of traffic, but we've been making huge progress in how we categorise applications and identify them (DPI), so DumaOS should work better and better with Mobile gaming as time goes on. -
Welcome to the forum! OK thanks for letting us know your progress. Could you please try accessing the DumaOS interface from an incognito/private window and see if you can then complete the setup wizard?
