Geo Filter not showing up my PC on Black Ops 6 Multiplayer
xBuTcHeRx replied to Sameer's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Fraser is there a difference between categorizing the device as GAME CONSOLE or PLAYSTATION? I know both have various ports but is one better than the other? -
OMG so since you just mentioned this. I checked this out. the LAST letter of my MAC is different on the interface over the router itself. I cant say I've had any significant issues because of this. But is there a way to prevent this? Also if i were to correct the letter on the interface would it break access? Thank you.

Make sure your on the latest FW. .236 It resolves VLAN issues. -
What a shame, that XR1000 was has so much potential but NG just doesnt give any attention to their FW process.

I second that

Halo infinite settings
xBuTcHeRx replied to Rickyrocks's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Can confirm, during initial login into Infinite, if the authentication sever is blocked, which it will be if geo filter is on. it will cause an error and will not let you search a match until restart, GEO LATENCY does remedy this AND lets you keep GEO FILTER ON at the same time. The only work around on previous routers is to TURN OFF geo filter until after the main menu and search for game menu loads, then turn GEO FILTER back ON. -
I would recommend you stay on .23 or .21 since you wont have the constant resetting to access router settings. As shown above if you take the plunge FYI.

I know you've given a list of items that are finished out of X amount before the new FW is out. We'd really like it if you pinned that at the top of the forums. Just to get an outline or estimate of what is a much more time constraining issue that is pushing back the new FW further and further. I really like this router. I can live without alot of its features. Since the selling point for this router since I discovered it was the geofilter. I really want that to work. We can't have another Netgear situation on our hands. Those YEARS were really bad. I hope we can get this FW sooner than later. At least Stability being a priority and Geo-filter and bufferbloat being secondary. Thank you ND TEAM.

So HOW would I go about adding this list properly manually Fraser?
-
lmao. I appreciate all you guys do. However considering .40 remedied the spikes primarily. I'm assuming the next one will have a lot more thorough fixes since this one isn't causing too much drag. I've tested this one with IPV6 On and OFF. I don't see much difference on this front for me with Geo Filter or connection speeds. HOWEVER 1. Smart Boost doesn't work as it use to, It won't trigger the gaming activities profile at all, I have to put it in manually under DEVICES. it worked fine on .21 .23, I really wish you guys just kept BOOST MODE like you had it on the R2. That push of a button remedied pretty much everything I wanted out of my speeds. Consider bringing it back pls. 2. Geo Filter is still hit or miss, ESPECIALLY with MW3, sometimes it will put me in a lobby with intended ping, sometimes it won't, and it varies ACROSS the board weather i turn ON OR OFF STEADY PING and/or GEO-LATENCY as well. I'm assuming maybe it needs another DPI cloud update? 3. Ping optimizer still doesn't work accordingly. And it will NOT optimize my speeds according to bufferbloat. it keeps my download and/or upload untouched. This was not an issue in .21. It started for me in .23. So far I haven't experienced anything else, the spikes are GONE for me so that's a good thing.

Thank you ND Team. I'll give my feedback regarding CPU Spike. Hopefully this fixes geo filter too. MW3 Is sooo strict.
-
Please shoot it my way as well Fraser. That CPU spike causing hang is getting annoying. Thank you.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
xBuTcHeRx replied to Netduma Lew's topic in News & Announcements
Just ordered mine. Hopefully I get it by XMAS. Thank you NETDUMA so much for this. Just as I predicted in my head. WIFI 6. DUMA OS 4 was an awesome surprise. Can't wait! -
First thing you wanna do is upgrade the cable to a CAT 6 to utilize faster speeds. Second thing you can do is, have you tried plugging in the cable to the WAN port on the R2? Does it redirect to the router login page and generates an IP address?
-
I cant seem to find a clear answer to this, but Fraser, is the duma 0S 3.0 on the XR1000 technically also in beta? or is it close to a stable build since it came baked onto the router upon release? Thank you.
-
Possible new ETA for the XR700 beta?
-
When is DUMA OS 3.0 coming to the XR700? We have waiting way too long.
-
Still no new developments for the XR700 DUMA OS 3.0?
