  1. By the way, using Cloudflare DNS on my iPhone seems to solve a lot of problems!
  2. It works very well in Canada as it does everywhere in the world, which is why the community is looking to help you configure it behind your ISP modem/router!
  3. For information, I do not think that this product is a viable solution because the ISP "connection" information passes through the ONT integrated into the ISP router. Many ISPs use this method because the rental of the Router is included in the package. Certain country legislation requires ISPs to allow their box to be bypassed to use another hardware/router but there are not many of them. This is why I asked him if his ISP could offer him an external ONT!
  4. @Netduma Fraser For information
  5. If you want to obtain speeds close to Gbps, it is possible even with the upstream ISP router. The rest is not up to me! Behind my ISP router in DHCP/DMZ. Enregistrement 2024-03-20 185010.mp4
  6. Hi, The ONT seems included in the ISP box, the box order is your optical termination point. You will not be able to bypass your ISP box... Unless your ISP can provide you with an External ONT.
  7. It doesn't work like the XR series (netgear) The modification of the MTU is only at the WAN level, the LAN part is not affected! Devices downstream of the R3 will not take it into account. (Like for example a test on an xbox...)
  8. Do you encounter any other problems, please attach your logs!
  9. Repeat that you are a beta tester... I assure you this is not the case, as well as talk about poor communication regarding transparency, either! There is a very active beta tester team, which scrutinizes the slightest malfunction and looks for workarounds to help on the forum. I am not a statistician but we are at 80% satisfaction, all the problems mentioned on the forum are known, analyzed, tested and removed from the final equation. Between us, there are very few of them considering the engineering and development of applications implemented on DumaOS 4 for you. There remains 5% unknown and 15% case by case... (if you have logs to provide concerning problems encountered that would help for the remaining 20%?) A basic router remains a basic router (just a gateway to the Internet with local management)... You have to compare like with like! Rome wasn't built in a day...
  10. It's just a graphics problem...
  11. It's not easy to do it case by case, each one has a different configuration (ISP, speed, peripherals) and the "problems" that result from this. You must keep in mind that you have not "invested" in a product/software with planned obsolescence, but in a product in constant development, listening to its users. The Netduma team through Fraser on this forum analyzes and is very attentive to everyone's requirements. We must consider ourselves lucky to have the opportunity to have a real dialogue and to be able to explain the problems encountered. Debugging is an important part after the public release of a product! The more Logs you provide with the details of your configuration/setup, the easier it will be for the team to reproduce the problems you encounter! 😉
  15. Just to be sure, did you do the test in IPv4 or IPv6?
  16. Take the test! I get speeds of 945 Mbps in DHCP/DMZ behind R3! 945 Mbps being the real hardware limit of a Gigabit RJ45 port. Sometimes ISP routers/modems do not provide true bridge mode...
  17. Without doubt the bridge mode which poses a problem, tried in DHCP/DMZ behind the ISP modem router!
  18. Hi ! Just to be sure, are you using private wifi addresses on your devices? This automatically changes the Mac of the device and the DHCP reservation no longer works...
  19. Hi guys ! Why do you want to use IPv6 Internet? (Game consoles and PC gaming applications use NAT so this won't be of any help to you, it seems to me). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6
  20. Hi ! I was able to read this on another post, it seems that the bridge mode on certain ISP routers/modems limits the LAN ports to 100Mbps. What does the WAN say on the R3 (Link speed) ? : If it shows 1Gbps when it is limited to 100Mbps, it's probably a graphics bug!
  21. I take your word for it !... I haven't had a PPPoE connection in over 10 years. So be patient and give them time to satisfy you...
  22. Their Soft (Netduma OS) is on an OpenWRT base... do you get speeds close to Gbps by flashing an NG router under OpenWRT in PPPoE and Vlan ID? At worst, sue the developers of OpenWRT...
  24. There is a law in Italy which obliges ISPs to provide the possibility of putting another equipment (router) in place of that proposed by the ISP. Why not ask your ISP directly... Why offer me the PPPoE protocol to Bypass your box when it is definitely obsolete for 1Gbps...? Make a petition to force them to switch their protocol to DHCP VCI (DHCP option 60) for example... ---Clearly it's to force you to use their equipment---
  25. You can get them by letting your isp router manage the pppoe and putting the R3 in dhcp/dmz behind it! The rate limiting constraint is only if the R3 is handling the pppoe at the moment.
