  1. Same problem here, I live in Liverpool but for me the best game play experience is when I play in the Italy or Spain servers, ( I´m spanish btw ), but it takes like 5 minutes between games to find a lobby so is super annoying and time consuming..So what I do is just disable the geo filter and play in the UK...I can´t wait 5 minutes between matches...
  2. Thanks mate, your app worked like a charm and my gaming has improved a lot. These new features..can´t wait to try
  3. Hiya Fraser, I have the following setup; Bt fibre modem + Homehub with PPoE duty. From this Bt router, dhcp off, wifi off, lan cable to wan port on Netduma with fixed ip with range 192.168.1.100. DMZ to this IP. From Netduma with local lan range 192.168.0.1 and dhcp on with aprox 30 devices working fine, no problem. I have tried to enable the VPN option in order to connect to my home router when I´m out but doesn´t work. ( DDNS is enable ) I have tried with Android, IOS; mac, windows clients but doesn´t work. It says connected but I can´t ping any local device or surf internet. I have realised that the ip assigned by the vpn server inside the router is 192.168.1.x when my local network is 192.168.0.x so this is why is not working. So with the mac os x client, I can edit the .conf file and add the following lines to the archive and I can get it working fine but I can´t add the line below to the .ovpn file on android client. Do you know why I´m receiving that ip range from the DHCP when is not the correct one ? Or how can I add manually my correct ip range to the android file ? Thanks ifconfig 192.168.0.205 255.255.255.0 route-gateway 192.168.0.1
  4. Thanks for your Thanks for your answer Fraser. I have already buy one trusting in that your team will fix this problem soon.
  5. Fraser, I don´t need to use VLAN or IPV6 but PPPoE. If I use PPPoE the QoS will not work with the upload channel ? Just think about this, if I´m going to pay almost 300 pounds for a router I want to use all the functionalities of that router I´m buying and not starting to use tricky solutions with a new router ?
  6. Hey, could you give me instructions about how to do this ? I´m spanish and doing my best to understand portuguese but I can´t sorry. Obrigado.
  7. Hello, I´m about to buy a netgear xr500 and I was wondering if this problem has been already resolved ? I want to check first if the QOS is working also with the upload channel. Thanks
  8. Ok, please find attached the screenshots as required; Option1: Virgin -> Netduma - > PC (no traffic, no Congestion Control): what is the base ping in this scenario? (If your line quality is good, it will be steady and low) Option 2: Virgin ->Netduma -> PC (flood traffic, no Congestion Control): what is the ping? It should be spiking up a lot Option 3: Vigin ->Netduma ->PC (flood traffic, apply Congestion Control): what is the ping now? it should return back to scenario 1 I have added a 4 option, it is the same as the third option above but it is a capture over wifi just in case you may need it;
  9. But I don´t understand one thing. My base latency without netduma with Virgin Media goes from 17-22ms so with netduma congestion control activated the ping spikes to 60ms or 80ms when I use other devices in my lan should stop or be reduced, isn´t it ? I know Virgin has a big problem with the chipset, but this is not the case right now I think.
  10. Hello Fraser, could you please take a look to my last comment on my thread ? http://forum.netduma.com/topic/25005-problems-netduma-r1/Thanks !
  11. Hi there, After changing my Virgin router to modem only, dmz to netduma, upnp enabled inside netduma settings, and disabled upnp in miscellaneous everything is working fine now, geo filter, open nat, etc. The only thing is not working for me even testing different configurations is congestion control. I have tried with reactive, 70-70, 60-60, 50-50, and so on and nothing works. When I do saturate my line, I´m receiving several spikes from my 17/20ms iddle ping to 40/60 or even 120ms ping in pingplotter. I have tried with different sliders configuration and also with preemptive, also with device prioritization , unticking sharing excess, etc. and I can´stop the lag spikes when my twins are using wifi at home or a different computer. There is no more devices connected to my Virgin Modem, just the netduma. Any thoughts? Thanks
  12. Thanks, I realized about this as I have explained above and I have open nat doing this, however this do not change my problems with the geo filter, with my friends can´t join to me, etc. etc.
  13. Virgin in modem mode only is giving me more spikes and latency issues than in router mode. Also I can´t get full speeds with modem mode versus router mode. then in misc settings on R1 make sure cookies is enabled and turbo mode is enabled also. Then is device congestion control add your bandwidth figures and make sure reactive is ticked and not preemptive. You will get your full speeds. I have read all of this before, I have tried and nothing change. The only thing that works for me is to cheat my bandwidth to 600/25 or so and I don´t understand why. If you insist on having your hub in router mode then you will have to add the ip address that your suberhub gives your R1 to the superhubs dmz. Then in superhub disable upnp and enable upnp on the R1. DMZ configured. Superhub already disable upnp and enable upnp on the R1...nothing change ! When you say upnp on the r1 where ? Because I can find UPNP settings inside miscellaneous and inside settings, so I have two different options for UPNP..Anyway I have tried with both, or enabling one and disabling the other one and nothing change. What model of superhub are you using? If it is the hub 3 then you must be aware of the intel puma 6 chipset issues that the hub 3 has and is a major factor in lag and ping spikes. Superhub 3. I already know about puma chipset issues. Also what country are you in? I thought virginmedia was only in the UK. If you are in the UK and trying to connect to servers in spain and italy then you are gonna have a bad gaming experience as connections to those countries are notoriously bad! I´m in Liverpool, Uk but I´m spanish and sometimes I would like to play with spanish people and this is why I would like to try with Spain or Italy servers. I have read that the sweet ping is around 40ms so for me Spain server is like 40ms so I would like to try there but it doesn´t work for me the geofilter.
  14. Hi there, I just buy a r1 netduma and I´m experiencing a few problems with it and I would like to receive some answers to how can I fix it. My installation is as follow; Virgin Media 350/25 with Superhub as modem/router connected to the netduma with a CAt7 cable. The Superhub is working as router and modem simultaneously because I have tried a few times with modem mode, ( disabling router ), but I do not receive my full speeds when I do this and I used to have more spikes and latency with Virgin in modem mode so is working as modem first and then as a router. ( New firmware with the superhub is working better than the old ones with the lag and spikes but still a lot of problems - issues with Puma chipset ) UPNP and Portforwarding disabled in Superhub modem and DMZ enabled to the netduma WAN IP. Ok so now let me say the problems I´m having; 1. Can´t get a consistent NAT open with the NETDUMA and xbox one. I have tried enabling UPNP first, disabling UPNP and enabling portforwarding and don´t work. The only way I can receive an open nat is disabling the GEO FILTER when I do the test in the console and then enabling it again when I play COD. I wonder if this is the way to get NAT open with the netduma or if I should have OPEN NAT even having GEOFILTER enabled. I think it should work if i have this enable but I don´t know, I need to ask you this question. I see many UPNP options inside the netduma, I have tried with each one but I wonder why I can see different UPNP boxes to tick and what function have each UPNP separately. Which one is the correct way to have UPNP enabled correctly. 2. I can´t play with my friends in a party. I do create a private lobby, I see the red circle and I add to them one by one to the whitelist with the sliders and I give them a name and I press update. I can see the red circles now with a different red circle. OK. But when I try to play a game in COD I receive an error from XBOX about the party voice is closed and something about my network connection is not working correctly. They are receiving an error too about something like I´m disconnected and when they try to join to me without an invitation to the party they receive the following message " unable to join the host " . My setting with GEOFILTER is strict, ping assist 0, GEOFILTER including for example all Spain ( they are in Spain ). Anyway I have tried including all Europe and even the full globe and nothing change with it. If I untick " strict " some of my friends can join me but others can´t. 3. When only I play COD and I try to force the server in Spain or Italy I can´t find any game, just works with the servers in Germany, Paris, etc.. I have tried joining to the HQ first and then do a search for a game and I can see the red circles around Spain even the big red circle in Madrid but can´t find any game after 20 minutes trying. Same happens with the Italy server. 4. Ban is not working too. When I play a determined server and after the game, I do ban this server still xbox connect to me to this server even after several minutes later. This problem looks happen more to me with the server in UK. I have tried with rebooting, with flushing cloud, etc. etc. and nothing works. 5. Without netduma I do a speed test and I receive my full speeds with ethernet cable Cat7 350/25 MB. When I connect the netduma, I never get my full speeds I just receive 180MB even enabling turbo and super turbo speeds in miscellaneous. The only workaround I have found after several tests is to cheat my speeds configuring in congestion control setting my bandwidth as 650/25 MB. With this, I can get my full speeds 350/25 with an ethernet cable but it doesn´t work with WIFI. Anyway, I can see the point to this because if I do this I can´t have congestion control working so it doesn´t make sense to me to buy a new router and can´t get both things working, my full speeds and congestion control.....So I must refuse one of them, or I must choose between QOS or my full speeds. I have read every single review, every single answer from the mods here and I can´t see consistent answers to some basic questions. For example some mods seems indicate that you need to do a full restart the XBOX when you do changes to the GEOFILTER in order to apply the changes and others mods or even the same mod seems to indicate the contrary that you must disable the GEOFILTER first when you turn on the console and before do a search with COD so I don´t know what is the official answer from NETDUMA to basic things like this one. Thanks Joseba
