Taff Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 had no idea i had A+ score so it must be my internet not the duma giving me so many problems. go to : http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest first one is with the netduma 2nd is without. my netduma settings are pretty much standard, 70% up 70% down throttled ,its just my internet speed sucks.
Alex49H Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I started using this site and I get A or A+ in Bufferbloat. Now I started getting a D grade. It is a good site to use.
PharmDawgg Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Where do you guys set yours for an A+ rating? I'm at 90%.
bagsta69 Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I get A and A+ with priority at 80-90% Cc 70-70 Solid at any time of day or night
Taff Posted November 17, 2015 Author Posted November 17, 2015 i dont know why i get an f for internet, its fast enough for games
PharmDawgg Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 i dont know why i get an f for internet, its fast enough for games I have 90/12 and get a C. I don't believe it is that important.
secretface Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 I get a B for speed and my download is 180
xZOEx Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 CC at 99% downlaod and 100% upload. I can never get an A+ for bloat at any percentage.
Paddee1987 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 cc 70% both and this is what i get is it good? i dont reallly understand what this stuff means lol.
Taff Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 cc 70% both and this is what i get is it good? i dont reallly understand what this stuff means lol. looks good to me A and A+ the C doesnt matter
fuzzy clam Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I think Z first posted this awhile back for someone to use and it's been a huge help to everyone. And I've never seen anyone with an A on speed and IMO it's cuz you have to set your sliders between 70 and 90 (everyone will be different) i.e. throttling so your speed is gonna go down giving you a lower grade. But if you run the test at 100 percent of your internet your gonna get a shitty grade on quality and buffer bloat. And to me the BB and quality has much more effects on gaming than the speed as you need so little to play online.
fuzzy clam Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 cc 70% both and this is what i get is it good? i dont reallly understand what this stuff means lol. Yes that what you want quality and buffer bloat in the A to A+ range, and your speed is fine. That's the last thing to worry about.
Zennon Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yes the speed could be - y and that wouldn't matter haha you only need a small amount of broadband to game the rest is idle bandwidth anyhow. Getting your buffer bloat to A means if there is local congestion it will mitigate it and your line will perform as if you were the sole user.
r8rs4lf Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest I ran that test several times. I can get the BB to an A, but it seems no matter what I do to the sliders, I keep getting an F for quality. If I put both sliders to 100% I get a D for BB and an A for quality. Any ideas which sliders need to be moved to get the A for BB and quality? EDIT: Ok so my tests have been of wifi so I'll retest wired
Taff Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 it depends on what time of day or night for me, had to back off the download almost to just 10% 3 or 4 mb to get it back to an A, upload seems to not matter what i put it ,its always get an A.
UK_Wildcats_Fans Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I have 50 Mb down and 5 Mb up with Time Warner Cable. With CC at 100%, I got a C grade on buffer bloat and C for speed. With CC at 70%, I got a A+ for buffer bloat and D for speed.
ltr7 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 In the US we have sub par speeds compared to the rest of the civilized world, don't worry about it.
zombitroid Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 whats bufferbloat and what does it mean if I get a D grade? (Please quote me if you reply so I know that you replied, quote button is in the right hand corner right below this message)

(Please quote me if you reply so I know that you replied, quote button is in the right hand corner right below this message) your getting a lot of latency, lag an so forth, adjusting the throttling sliders up and down (usually down) on the netduma will improve it, you will definitely notice the difference once you've gotten it back to an A+ grade when playing games. you may have to change it at different times of the day or night to keep it that way. there are 3 grades first one is buffer bloat, should be A or A+ ,second one is quality ,(which doesn't show up anymore with mine) and should be also an A or A+, the third is speed which i get an F but doesn't matter all speeds are different. you can check "ping" elsewhere on that same page if you want its the same as "quality"
r8rs4lf Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 My quality doesn't show up as well anymore. I noticed that the other day. I used to have an A for BB, A for quality, and a C for speed. Now all I get is a "-" for quality.
