procreate Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 anyone even able to play? been waiting in lobbies for over 30 minutes. only one started a game that was unable to load some file and booted me out. i even increased the filter to 5000miles and nothing. just a few people joined lobby. also my NAT is moderate. just reset my router. another weird thing is the circle color is blue despite me disabling my xbox and ps3 [which is the blue icon], i should have a red radius circle since my PS4 is the red icon. bagsta69 Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 OK guys after an hour or so of play, the game really doesn't have a next gen feel to it. it plays and sounds a lot like Black ops 1. A few things I have noticed as well that I am sure the devs are aware of are, The mute all but party function needs doing after every game, it does not stay muted as described. The after match report has ceased showing KDR stats. You cannot boost dodge out of harms way Bagsta you idiot. Domination is been played like all previous cods as an extra points TDM. During the day with the kids been off school and all hyped up on skittles and blue smarties, if you are old you will get a kicking. It is actually quite good fun. I have been having no problem finding games, average 25-50 games when searching. Ranks from 1 up to 20. procreate Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 finally got in some games... and wow, did they not fix anything with their poor netcode? its still a laggy pile. been playing demolition some though which is more fun than TDM, then again a root canal is more fun than TDM. Lag is still a HUGE issue. the specialists are REALLY annoying even though i have been enjoying sniping with the bow using sparrow. the others i have run across are cheap. takes forever to kill someone and as usual die in a split second. a lot of stuff isnt intuitive and still no SoH perk. so far i would give this CoD a 2/10. maybe a little better than AW, worse than BO2. frame rates get horrid at times, not sure what is causing that but it gets all jacked up. i think might have to do with scorestreaks which BTW STILL NOT IN A CLASS!!! how stupid is that still? those are my thoughts for now. there is only 3 or 4 maps i think, i cant believe some people are already at lvl20... thats kind of ridiculous. leveling is much slower than old CoDs. i dont like the token thing or the create a class either. heading back to play some more... anyone want to post some classes here that work well? what guns are better than others? i only have 2 tokens so its not like i can easily equip stuff. Actually, u r right. This game is not running at a stable 60fps and will keep on fluctuating. When in a game, it will be somewhere around 48fps. Basically we plan to have a myth buster esque them but for online gaming. UK_Wildcats_Fans Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 I got the PSN email at 7 p.m. PST and it took 3 hours to download the 15Gb plus beta update and then the PS4 update. I have read over several forums that people speculate that they capped the download speeds. I have 50Mbps down and 5Mbps up. I monitored the downloads with the R1 last night and it barely topped 8Mbps download. I had share excess enabled. I then gave my PS4 more priority and it still did not increase. Because of the limited number of people, I had geo filter disabled, and I only got a chance to play for a couple of hours. Match making: There wasn't enough people to really make a determination. Similar to other black ops, you "join" parties and lobbies. I join a few friends while a game was in process. For all the subsequent games, it kept me on their team without being in the actual party. Game Play: Not matter how many times that I tried, I could not boost dodge. LOL Power sliding is faster to move around than sprinting. I found that hitting thrust (aka jump) in quick sessions works better. It took me a while to get the hang of wall running. I found that it is best to double jump to get onto the wall to give you more height on the wall to jump off. There are tons of rocks, crates, objects throughout the make for hiding behind. I don't have the eye sight of the young guys, and I had a more difficult time picking out the enemies behind these objects. Playing AW for a while, it does feel much slower but it does feel slightly faster than the other BO series. The Ghost perk is not available until level 45, so get used to being spammed by UAVs. I liked Sixth Sense perk. It saved me a couple of times. I liked the pulsed vision. I played Domination, and at a couple of times we were already being spawned trapped. I hope that they will adjust the spawns after the beta!!!!!!! I can tell that I am going to need to run Ghost and suppressor on the maps. You have to level up your weapons, so it is difficult to judge the weapons without all the necessary attachments. I liked the Razorback. I have some more ways to go to level it up. Yup. I encountered that while playing around with my speed. I can safely say that if you encounter what you deem as extremely low framerate, it is actually, the connection stream encountering a spike. Thus, not all the data were sent so the game will look like it froze/encounter a low frame rate. The latest in-game patch really stabilised the framerate to 60fps as far as I can see. Don't you just hate it that now, we are being forced to join a Dedicated Server no matter what. Never had a P2P game as of yet in the Beta. And that sucks. Because the nearest server gets me 120+ms!
