SturmButcher Posted Friday at 03:35 PM Posted Friday at 03:35 PM Here is a summary of features that would make the next Netduma router a market leader for gamers and power users. 1. Hardware & Design: Form Factor: Adopt a vertical, space-saving design similar to the Asus AX86U for better cooling and antenna performance. Core Specs: Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be): Essential for future-proofing. CPU: A fast Quad-Core processor (2.2 GHz+). RAM: 1 GB minimum to ensure smooth performance with advanced DumaOS features. Universal Power Adapter: A power supply that supports a 110-240V input range, making it suitable for global use. 2. Connectivity: Multi-Gig Ports: At least two 2.5 Gbps ports (one configurable for WAN/LAN) should be standard. Fast USB: A USB 3.2 port for high-speed network storage (NAS) functionality. 3. Software & DumaOS Enhancements: Dedicated IoT Network: Provide a separate, isolated SSID for IoT devices to enhance security. Hardware-Accelerated VPN: Native support for modern protocols like WireGuard with minimal speed loss. Smarter QoS: An adaptive QoS that automatically prioritizes applications like video calls and games. Built-in Ad-Blocker: Network-wide ad and tracker blocking functionality.

We're also working on something better than the current offering as well which you can see a bit more about here: https://netduma.com/blog/how-to-fix-bufferbloat

Great, I haven't used the netduma (moved to Asus) because the updates were too slow (xr500) and the hardware was a bit outdated, looking for WiFi 7, fast router, big performance, small footprint
Chris J Posted Friday at 09:29 PM Posted Friday at 09:29 PM @Netduma Fraser has any progress been made on the R3 beta selection group? I answered the questionnaire and would be interested in testing the ACC feature and providing feedback when it's released for the next phase of testing.

We don't have an ETA/schedule, we're allowing people to enter the poll ahead of time to make sure everyone has the same opportunity and when the team are ready with a build they'll make their selections and add those people to the group
