CRarsenxL
My recommendation is always set your gaming device wether it be a PC or console to Games Console in device manager. Then use the Games Console prioritization service. No need for flower changes. Adjust buffer if you need it. Something is not capturing right for PlayStation Device and Computer. I find the packet count is heavily lobsided favoring upload. when switching it to my idea, the packet counter for download and upload line up nearly perfect and gameplay feels amazing give it a try and lmk

I gamed on this for 3 hours. Packets nearly identical at around 60k/60k.Too ensure parameters were fair, I never quit app, never streamed, just played the game. I wanted to test if it was a fluke and I was right. I rebooted the router and recreated the traffic prio rule, then boom, super high upload and super low download. I played for 45min and the ratio was so off and nowhere near the previous ratio. How? Is it a bug? Why is it that device manager dictates traffic prio? whats bugged, the prio or device manager? It would be cool if duma could prioritize via LAN port. Idk if it’s possible but maybe make that lan port run right into the 1st network queue w software behind the lan port for UDP packets ? Idk …. But this bug is weird and it happened on my R2 awhile ago. Console and PC , same issue ….
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2021 There shouldn't be much difference, the Games Console rule uses ports rather than DPI specifically. I'll ask the team to investigate that one.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2021 Disable DumaOS Classified Games and just make manual rules for the device you want to be prioritized and then nothing else will be prioritized. Just to be sure give the router a reboot from the interface once you've set that up and you should be good to go.
kinel
Ive beeb seeing this iddue for a long long time the only fix i found was putting in manual ports Game console for me always upload traffic is higher I recomend these port ranges Source 3074 to 3074 destination 30000 to 45000 udp Source 50000 to 65535 destination 3074 to 3074 tcp Source 50000 to 65535 destination 443 to 443 tcp These ports fixed that issue When i use m these manual ports my download traffic is a tiny bit higher than upload
Zippy
I find it very interesting kinel you have port 443 TCP in the mix there.. Ive noticed alot of traffic going through that port while gaming. Im still a firm believer that one should still see more download packets then upload packets. Im not sure where the issue is with this. But if I reboot my R2 sometimes I get lucky and get things to count proper.. Zippy.

I agree with you it should show more download than upload i think that too I always seen 443 tcp when playing cod But i thought it was because i had my pc browser open But i aint sure why it being used I do tjink that the tcp ports have no impact on hit detection I think there more to do with data tracking But i post what ports ive seen so its up to the members if they wanna use them It might help others maybe I i havent been playing mutch of this cod to tell if there he'ping or not

When I reboot my XR and games console is enabled, download is always higher than upload. However if I delete the rule and re add it, and reboot my pc, plau a game , now upload is higher. I been telling Fraser and co this man… idk y they haven’t looked into it

I'm always reading and looking at what's new and what people are doing. Do you find these settings to actually make a difference vs. Source 1-65535 TCP. Destination 81-65535 TCP. And then the exact same for UDP I do notice if I create a single rule for that and use the TCP/UDP combo in one configuration my upload packets are way way way higher. But setting them up individually like I have seems to have fixed the packet count. I do 81 because if you prior port 80 you will bypass congestion control if you are using it. With my setup I see no need to prior specific ranges if you only care for a games console to be priorities and nothing else. MY ONE QUESTION When setting up priorities you are asked 3 options. Normal. Video. Gaming and voice. And apply to wan. I run hg612 modem to xr500. What do I check for those as I don't notice a difference using either wilsonbx198st
