I need help with my R1 on DumaOS latest firmware. It won't allow me into the UI after i put in the username and password, it continues to load till it say the R-app failed to load. Went to the forum and followed the factory reset instructions for the pin hole. Now neither the custom or default username and password work. Its only rebooting the router not factory restoring it. please help.

been using DumaOS for months with no issue

Were you trying to update the router when this happened, or did it just happen randomly? Have you kept it plugged in for a few minutes after trying to do a pin-hole factory reset?

This happened randomly, I've had it plugged in for hours still no change. the other day I had it unplugged for about a hour to see if it needed to be power cycled but it made no difference.

Okay... Could you please email us at [email protected] with a link to this thread? Thanks.

Just updating.

I haven't got a reply from that email. Still need to get into the router.

could it be a security issue?

I'll remind the team to reply. I doubt there is anything security wise on the router you need to worry about.

Good to hear.

Thanks again, Fraser

Oops, I replied just now! I did forward it onto the correct people yesterday but I probably should have just replied myself. If you want something doing, and all that.

Hi All,

I am not sure if this is the correct thread to post this to but here it is.  If I do a reset of the NetDuma R1 router I can access the UI/NetDuma OS using the 192.168. etc. but after a couple of weeks I am unable to access it anymore.  To gain access to it once again I have to reset the router redo the settings and so on.  It is a vicious cycle that I hope can be resolved.  Any suggestions and or tips are greatly appreciated.  I use Chrome Browser I've tried clearing the browser the only thing that helps is when I do the RESET on the R1 router itself and that fix only works for a week or two.

Thank you

How is the router connected to the internet? Through a modem or through another router?

The router is connected to the internet through a modem. And used to work fine until I updated to the latest software.

When this occurs can you access using http://r1 or http://dumaos at all?

When I reset the R1 router I can go to 192.168.88.1 and access the DumaOS no problem.  After couple of weeks when I go to 192.168.88.1 it just times out and goes nowhere.  I forget the exact error message if there is one but it just does not load the DumaOS at all.  When I get home tonight I can either make a small quick video and or take some screen shots.  It is just weird that it works when R1 is reset and it works for lets say a week.  I do nothing different so I can't see what would not make it inaccessible 1 week later.

None of those worked and to reiterate 192.168.88.1 does not work either.

Okay thanks for all the information. When it happens again could you open a cmd prompt and type ipconfig please and screenshot what it shows. Then do ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew does that then allow you access without a reset?

I assume you're factory resetting using the button on the back of the router?

Make sure you're following the steps in this guide correctly:

So i've tried different browsers i've tried releasing the ping and ipconfig and nothing fixed it.  Finally reset it in the back redid all the settings and can access it now probably for couple of weeks.

I'm having the same problem. I haven't been able to access Duma os  for a couple weeks now. I've tried everything I know to do, factory reset does nothing.

Well i'm glad it's working now that you've reset it. I wonder how often this occurs? I think I might be starting to see a pattern appearing.

That makes me wonder if yours is actually a different issue. Especially since yours is recovered by resetting, and @Salty waffle's isn't...
