JOE1305
Hello everyone! I dont know what it is but I have 100 down / 10 up speed and when I download an update of 3gb on the console it takes for a long time. On the PC its much faster even though I download via Wifi connection. Does anybody know why that is? Is it the PSN? Thx in advance
BIG__DOG
it ias a psn issue, not a router issue. I have had this problem on psn even before I had the R1 or the XR500. Just psn's shitty infrastructure!

In my experience it can be pretty slow compared to downloading on a PC unfortunately.

When downloading updates etc on The PS I put the CC sliders at 100% and gave the PS maximum bandwith and then pause the download for a minute or so and then start it again. That always seemed to work in downloading stuff quicker

My console is never in hyperlane. I tested it with and without hyperlane. Didnt see a difference in playing games and downloading.

I think the xbox has a better plattform what I hear from other guys.

There's a really useful thread about this issue here: https://community.playstation.com/content/pdc/us/en_US/pdc-communities/support/Consoles-Peripherals.topic.0.25.html/downloading_in_ps4i-1X7u Seems like PSN throttles downloads per download. The write speed of the hard drive is apparently around 70mbps so 1-2mbps seems very low even going on the PSN limitations. PSN (judging by that thread) can limit your downloads to around 30mbps. It is likely to do with how your location is supported as well, which is why some people get it and not others.

I wired the ps4 with my isp router and downloaded the new ww2 update of 1.2 gb. It took only 4 minutes. It looks like the r1 has an issue. This is not good man. The R1 should not slow down the speeds when the sliders are on 100% and all bandwith to the ps4. I realized this earlier when I made speed tests on the pc. When I connect my router directly to the pc I have full speeds. When I do it with the R1 it halfs the speed. Wtf???
RL317
Do a test at http://www.dslreports.com/speedteston your PS4 browser. Do you get anything like your 100 down 10 up?

I did all that things bro. Nothing helped at all. I restarted my r1 about 100 times since I got it one year ago. Im tired of it, that I have to restart my r1 all the time even though want just to load a profile or do anything else.
