GregyP3
On my super hub3 been racking my brains watching my ping every so often on the gui suddenly blast off to 100ms plus and look like a heart beat sensor shud it be at straight line as much as as possible? With the reading of 15-20ms got a phone call with technition as I wanted to leave them gunna ask for super hub 2 anyone think that will make a difference? Even if they allow it? If not is sky a good option or does anyone know of a better Internet provider?
Zennon
It is the the Intel Puma 6 CPU that is the issue with the jitter spikes, they will not give out SH2's I would move to fibre if you have the chance, Sky, BT, Talk Talk have all had good results for people here. GregyP3
Defo fibre not normal broadband? I tried every setting on netduma with super hub 3 actually really annoyed me at times I couldn't stop the lag spike I could sort of on preemptive with it throttled hard but it didn't seem right and every other server would spike high eventually, I am amazed I have even hit too v2 rockets on ww2 I just imagine what I could do on more consistent connection
BIG__DOG
I was with virgin (formerly telewest from 1997 until 2015. I got sick of my service going down (9 straight days once) also some other issues I had with them regarding customer services. So, I switched to vdsl. I know it is a huge drop in my speeds from 152/12 down to 80/20 but to honest my service has never ever gone down and my ping is 11 and virgin it was 15 then last 8 months it went to 30. If you would rather sacrifice speed for reliability and performance then switch to BT or talktalk.
GregyP3
Yeah my ping on virgin is nice 14 but my ping when in game the lag spikes are horrific I mean what does other peoples ping like is it a steady line or random all over the shot like mine? I think when you tried every option for months you get a bit sick of it gotta be the provider? Never had any packet loss tho I did various Internet diagnosis, s and that was random to sometimes good some times awful never consistent, Im nervous about changing can't get any worse I guess? GregyP3
Thanks for all the comments by the way tried to give likes to suggestions but don't think it worked on my mobile my struggle is real today lol feel my pain lol
Zennon
You are not monitoring your ping in real time if you think it’s 14ms steady then up and down in game. I would say download ping plotter and test in real time but I know the results before looking. The CPU is terrible in the SH3. Good luck with your move away
GregyP3
It was all over the shot on ping plotter every minute or so it would shoot up into the 100ms,just sucks shud I just get on with the move away or you reckon will give me a hub 2? If not hub 2 I gotta go can you definable use netduma with sky? Sorry for all the questions appreciate the advise buddy

BIG__DOG
Sky keep your username and password login info secret from you so you have to use their supplied modem/router. I would suggest talktalk or bt and you can use any modem you want and router!

RL317
Screenshot 1: Virgin Media (100/6) Screenshot 2: BT Infinity (55/10) On VM I couldn't get below 30ms average bufferbloat even with 25% upload and 30% download sliders, my base ping was 13ms (spiking to 30-50ms every two seconds without fail) and I had constant packet loss. On BT I can average 2ms bloat or lower with 97% sliders, and my base latency is a flat 7ms with zero packet loss. Do with that what you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
GregyP3
Was this with the hub 3 or 2? yeah I feel you're pain was in a lobby that was 19-14 ms it was amazing but that was one lobby out of about 20/30 the rest bounced around 19-25 with the amazing lag spikes which could be anything from 100 plus and this happens randomly after nearly every minute or 4 minutes lol
GregyP3
Might have to change to bt if the super hub 2 doesn't help, thank you for the stats my friend appreciate it gotta be the most kind and helpful community here

GregyP3
Fingers crossed for the 2 then, funny because the technition admitted there is a problem every time the hub 3 does its own maintenance which causes lag spikes which is every so often, I asked when they where doing a fix he says its a back and fourth between them and software and to not worry about that and let's get you're problem fixed mad that they would let that issue carry on I wonder what the real problem and hold up is gotta be money and who shud fork out for it? RL317
I am sure IIIRL's BQM was taken with the SH3. Never had a SH3 mate. I had two different SH2s. Asked for a replacement as VM thought the first was responsible for the endless packet loss I had to prove I was seeing (apparently they ran a "speed test" and everything was normal...) and it was the same on the second SH2, so I effed them off and got myself on to BT. Ziltoid Racer
sent me a super hub 3 cant make this shit up this phone call is about to get real intresting im 99 per cent done lol you need to speak to a broadband specialist to get an SH2ac, all other virgin people who request an SH2 or ac, the system always changes the SH2 request to an SH3 automatically, only a broadband person can get you the SH2 or SH2ac that you need and it depends if they have any. i am on virgin with a SH3 in modem mode with R1 running everything and get by but i don't play fps games.
