apollob94
Hello, I've got BT infinity 2. I've put Netduma into DMZ. Got nat type 2 in PS4, but I'm always an away side in fifa 18. How do I fix this please
ColonicBoom
I'm always an away side in fifa 18. You mean you don't get to be the 'home' team? I don't play Fifa but that doesn't sound like a Netduma issue.
apollob94
It's got to do with ports coz when I disconnect netduma and put ps4 into dmz then I get home games.
Buster
Does being the away side mean your not host? I don't play either

Dialatech
Surely if everyone with a netduma would have this issue if it was a port issue. Fifa will use the same ports for everyone. I don't have any issues at all with getting home games

Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted September 28, 2017 Netduma Staff Share Posted September 28, 2017 u got BT hub connected to netduma? can you show me ur BT and netduma settings please Are there any other issues present with your connection? Can you access webpages correctly? Do you have an open NAT on your console and in-game? If you're on BT you'll require PPPoE. Make sure your PPPoE details are entered on the WAN settings page. Please screenshot the Geo-filter when you're in-game, and make sure you only enable the Geo-filter once you are on the multiplayer menu on Fifa. usernamerequired
Have found this to be a problem with the NetDuma via BT Infinity, away team roughly 80% of time. Never had the issue with Virgin Media and exactly same set up. Raised it with Fraser for FIFA 17 but he didn't believe it could be the NetDuma. It clearly is something to do with BT and NetDuma, as not using NetDuma home team 80% of time. None FIFA players will wonder why this is even a problem. Using your own stadium is so important when trying to play in higher divisions. And we spent months trying to fix this have open nat and tried everything. The BT and NetDuma battle raises another point about to raise in the forum... wireless constantly dropping (we don't use wireless for gaming but family use it!) Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 29, 2017 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2017 We can't affect how a game decides to work other than on a connection basis. There is no option on the router that would allow you to play a home game. I literally cannot think of any setting that would affect this. If with the Geo-filter disabled you get the same the it's not a Duma issue as it just acts like a normal router in that scenario. If you're having trouble with WiFi please follow: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022405-why-does-the-netduma-wifi-keep-dropping-out-
Machinist
Hi fraser Could it be the possibility of the congestion control settings on the netduma? (being set at 70%) The home side is supposedly the side with a "better" connection (deemed by EA) , maybe with the congestion control setting in place at 70%, EA considers us as a "poorer" connection and hence always the away side? Could this be a possibility? I have switched to another router and have 80%-90% chance of home games. Anyway, the overall connection as an away side is no different to home games
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 4, 2017 Administrators Share Posted October 4, 2017 As long as at 70% you have enough bandwidth to play & host a game & you have a low ping I don't see why they would prefer someone with more bandwidth when it wouldn't be needed. Perhaps try not using CC and see if you get more home games
