Victor-Yout Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 why does it not save my router time? it always gets back to 2 hours earlier than it actually is
PharmDawgg Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I think the router's time is based on Netduma's (the company) actual location.
Victor-Yout Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 but when you set it manually it should save it
PharmDawgg Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 May be one of the admins can chime in on this but yeah I would go in and update mine. It would save it at that current moment but it would revert back the Netduma time. In which it didn't seem to cause any issues with the R1 that I know of.
pollutionblues Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 PharmDawgg is correct, the router's time is GMT
PharmDawgg Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 I think it is tied to the time of the cloud server at Netduma. I believe t hold all of the server id's and locations. It's where all the magic happens.
pollutionblues Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Theres a clock??? I had totally forgotten about the clock till I saw this post
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 22, 2017 Administrators Posted June 22, 2017 No need to worry about the clock, it doesn't have any bearing on your router's performance. Everyones will have the same time, as Pharm said this is due to the cloud.
