Congestion Control changes on it's own

Recommended Posts

I have had this problem in the past and now it is happening again. I set the congestion control and when I change page and go back to the congestion control page it has changed. ect. I set it at 70-70 and when I return to the page it has reverted back to 100-70. I have posted a video to youtube showing this happening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl_UJj5Mjc0

The advice from Benormous above is great; enabling cookies should save your settings, and make sure whenever you reboot the router you do it through Misc settings.

If it continues to occur, make sure you're using Google Chrome / Firefox and that you're on the default theme.

I use Chrome and did a reboot just before recording that clip, I have also tried the stock theme, no change. What's odd is sometimes it only changes by 1-2 points and after 2 or 3 tries it sticks.

This seems like a weird bug. Please try Firefox on the default theme and let us know if it still occurs.

Could try these steps as well

Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.

Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

Or just open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing F12. Once the chrome dev tools are open, just right click on the refresh button and a menu will drop down.

I used Firefox up until about a month ago and had the same issue with all the themes. I've learned to just double and triple check before gaming. After about 3 checks it seems to stick.

I have had this happen to me as well. I usually have to click something in order to verify that the selection takes. For instance refresh the page before leaving or clicking an apply button if there is one on the page.

Happened to me many times before too lol. Or sometimes it just feels like the qos isn't even working. The only thing you can do is just keep messing with and checking it to make sure it sticks. I also bandwidth test to verify that it's actually taking away that % accurately.

I've gotten used to it. Just posted it to let the devs now that there may be a bug.

Yeh this definitely sounds like a bug. Thanks for letting us know - and if it's still an issue when DumaOS (Free upgrade coming soon)  is launched, at least we'll be able to patch it out much faster with the DumaOS framework.

It won't be an issue in DumaOS. Post in the 1 on 1 section: http://forum.netduma.com/forum/66-request-1-on-1/and I will have a look next week as I haven't seen it before
