Was told to post this (Need Support)

I'm going to copy basically what I was sending in messenger to the netduma page:
Sometimes have issues joining a player's party while using the Duma. I do see that it shows a distinction between servers and players however when I go to party up with someone on call of duty it doesn't let me join because they are out of my filter range. So I'll adjust my filter but it still won't let me join unless I wait like 10-15 minutes. (I was told it should be instant).I just tried it last night and I had to wait or restart my ps4 just so I could join them. It seems that the geofilter doesn't update instantly and doesn't allow me to join players even after I adjust the range. It's like I have to wait for a while for it to even correct itself. once I join I set them to 100% allow so it doesn't happen with them in the future but if I want to party up with a random player I have to go through this process. I have an open NAT. You can check out some of the attachments. Additionally there is an error that pops up when loading a profile. After I try it a few times it loads though. I have done factory reset's in the past but it's getting really frustrating. Here is how my LAN is setup. Internet -> Netduma WAN - PS4. I don't have any other routers hooked up.

Thanks for your help all!

I mean that's how it's supposed to work. If the host or the person you're trying to join is outside of your filtered range it won't let you connect.... However the bigger issue here is that you should be the one hosting the lobby or you're not getting the full advantage of even using the geo-filter.

Host an empty lobby, invite the person you want to join, if they are outside of your range they will show up as a ! on the map... Click that, rate it at 100%, they will be able to join.... Or if you want to join other people, turn off the geo-filter because it's going to cause problems if you aren't the host.

I understand that but the problem lies where the geofilter doesn't update even though I increase the range. I have to wait a really long time even thought I'm told it should be instant or within a short period (1 minute).

There are multiple ways you can connect to another host or player:

  • They are within your distance circle
  • Their ping is below your ping assist value
  • The Geo-Filter is disabled
  • They are in your allow list

Regardless of what allowed you to connect to a host you'll remain connected to that host until communication has stopped for over 2 minutes.

For example if a player is within your circle, you need to leave the game they are in for over 2 minutes and their circle and square has disappeared from the Geo-Filter before they can be filtered again.

This is done so that people can't use the Geo-Filter to boot people out the game. If this didn't exist you could have your filter set large, then shrink it once you start losing to boot other players.

All you need to do is disable the geo filter, invite the friends to a private match one at a time (so you know who is who) and then whitelist them (set to 100% on the slider).

After this you can turn on the geo filter and they will not be locked out anymore, if they are then turn off the console, reboot the Netduma, turn on the console.

You're trying to load the profile when it's already been loaded by the looks of it. One and done should be fine.

Disable the filter, add to your allow list. Then enable and then search for a game.

So if I keep my geofilter on and max my ping assist this should allow me to join?

Okay that's what I figured but I never know if my profile is loaded up which is why I try and load it. I will check in the geofilter and see if my settings are loaded prior to doing this. Thanks :)

That should work yes.

Yeah at present the profile page doesn't show the currently loaded profile which can lead to confusion, good shout :)
