plea2303
Hi, I saw in a YouTube video from simjc74 about the netduma that he put the ports that where opened by upnp for a specific game in hyper traffic. Does this really affect something or is it not necessary? I'm asking because I never saw it in one of the official tutorials here in the forum. Welshy
I'm thinking its not necessary and would be easier to put the device in hyper traffic...but if you have multiple consoles and another console might be in use the same time then it makes sense to put the ports in. PharmDawgg
I've used specific ports and the preselected services. Honestly I have not seen any difference. I usually stick with the services. By using the services it opens all the possible ports for fhat particular console. I only have an Xbox so I can't speak for PlayStation. You're always welcome to try both though and see if you notice a difference.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 8, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 8, 2017 By choosing ports specifically the feature wouldn't be utilised as well as it could be as the game doesn't just communicate from that one port, so by only choosing specific ones the games packets wouldn't always be sent/received first. Of course welcome to experiment just my 2 cents.
BIG__DOG
i have tried using port 3074 in hyper traffic for playstation and really I have noticed no improvement. I either use the default setting in hyper traffic or don't use it at all sometimes depending on how busy my network is.

You just need to find the best settings for you: - Destiny: 3074 UDP both - Call of Duty: 3074 and 3076 UDP both

Chive972
That is in port forwarding not hyper traffic You can add specific ports on that part too. if you don't believe, try it.
XSXS
I would just use the default pre-loaded settings for hyper traffic, that will cover all the ports from 1024 to 65535. Using specifics ports is just asking for issues unless you check port usage every single time you login. The reason why I say this is because I've done extensive port testing with Xbox and there are random times it does not even use port 3074 or 3075 as the main gaming port, it will just use some random port number. With using the pre-loaded default setting you know for sure all the ports will be covered! I highly suggest this if you have multiple gaming consoles connected!
