HiNSHY Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Hi i'm hoping this can be fix really want too use the Router Again, So for a while now every time i try to use the F1 i will plug in the Power Cable and then 10sec later i hear a beep, I looked this up and seen nothing that Helped one thing i kept seeing was overheating issue but its not even on long enough to overheat Power Sockets work Use it on a other Router Hope this is enough info for HELP
Zennon Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I would check if the power connector is pushed right into the power socket of the duma. If that all checks out... Before thinking it may be the main router the next step would be to test the power supply unit with a volt meter to make sure it is working correctly either by yourself or maybe a tech shop nearby.
progprogprog Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I know it sounds crazy but turn the R1 on its back!!! I had issues with reboots and beeps when I first bought the Duma. Maybe an overheating issue but never reboots now unless I tell it to.
bagsta69 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 When you first power up the R1 or reboot it, it beeps once then does its thing. This is normal. If it keeps beeping then you have an issue
Zennon Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Right I was under the impression it beeps when it shouldn't as in reboots.
HiNSHY Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 Just keeps on Beeping nothing will stop it even if i reset it and the power supply is fine i use it on a other Router atm
Zennon Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 I have asked HiNSHY in the shoutbox to wait for Fraser on this one.
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted December 20, 2016 Netduma Staff Posted December 20, 2016 Just keeps on Beeping nothing will stop it even if i reset it and the power supply is fine i use it on a other Router atm Just to clarify; you've pressed the reset button on the back and it still does this? When did you notice this happen? Did you have a power outage or anything similar recently? Did you upgrade the router manually? You say you're using the power supply with another router; are you using the power supply plug that we provided or are you using another one?
HiNSHY Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 Yes still does this after the reset. Not sure then would be a good faw months ago (i thought since i having internet issue i'll just put it back in the box intill my internet is fixed) The Power plug i am sure its still the same one but not 100% Sure due to me cleaning out my room and finding a other one Yes i try a Manually update at some point
Zennon Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 This may be your issue you need to be using the Dumas power supply. Do not use the other in the Duma.
HiNSHY Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 I dunno if that is the one or not and if not dunno where it is where could I buy one ? Would love to get it working

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 21, 2016 Administrators Posted December 21, 2016 Bad news for me its not the same plug nor Do i have it i looked about. Is there someway im able to buy one? Can you take a picture of the power supply you're using please - some of them look different to the one Zennon has. If you are using a different one we can give you the power stats you need.
HiNSHY Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 I'm not home atm but I'm using a tp-link switch(I'm sure) if that's any help
Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted December 21, 2016 Netduma Staff Posted December 21, 2016 As soon as you can please send us a photo of it; using a power cable with the wrong voltage can be dangerous and is most probably what's causing it to beep.
HiNSHY Posted December 21, 2016 Author Posted December 21, 2016 Ok was way WRONG Ops i am using a ZyXEL ES-108A Switcher http://imgur.com/OlB6iv0(Input: 100-240v-550/60Hz O/2A OUTPUT:5.0V=600mA) Would just like to say thanks for all the feed back and help
