Is this with Geo-Latency on or off? With it on it should work just fine. With it off you would need to add your friends to your allow list, have you done this?

On Xbox, check your NAT type in Settings - Network Settings (itll show on the right side of the screen).
Im on .41 and when i have moderate NAT, it wont let me into the party chats but when open it allows me in, no problem. For me i just had to open port 3074 on the Netduma router or enable UPNP. Also make sure, on your BT Hub, that you put the Netduma in the DMZ so all traffic passes through from the BT Hub to the Netduma router unrestricted.

djbazzelbean reacted to Netduma Fraser in NEW R3 FIRMWARE 4.0.40
Hello everyone, here is the first update of 2024 for the Netduma R3. This update is not available as a 1 click update from the interface, you will need to upgrade manually.
Please read carefully:
We have tested this firmware but not as much as we would have done normally, reason being is we wanted to get this out to people to try without any further delay SO it is possible you could see issues as with any firmware update but it's looking pretty good so far.
This update does not fix every single issue that has been reported, it is possible that issues you may have that aren't covered in the change log have been resolved but if its not been mentioned don't expect it to be fixed.
Please do not report issues you already have that haven't been fixed in this firmware, we know what the issues are and they're still being worked on. On the other hand if there is an issue you were having that has been fixed please do let us know as that helps just as much as reporting issues.
TL:DR
Don't report issues that have already been reported and that haven't been mentioned in the change log Report whether issues mentioned in the change log and issues that haven't been mentioned have been fixed Report any new issues you've encountered after upgrading Changelog:
Improvements to stability of upgrade process (memory issue should be fixed) Improved performance during high bandwidth usage Fixed a bug when disabling multiple devices in Adblocker Added ability to select individual server in Ping Heatmap when servers are grouped together Improved reliability of Speed Test Reduced CPU usage of certain services that were causing ping spikes Various frontend styling fixes Firmware removed while we work to fix issues.

Yeah sure no problem it’s kinda the same as others on the forum but I just tweak mine turn on and off ping assist and just go with the flow and test different areas within geo filter but it’s
1.Latency of (ur own choice see what works for your self )
2.No ping assist ( sometimes it works and don’t but think that’s the server it self I tweak mine on and of to see )
3.strict mode enabled
4.geo filter circle set to 300 - 428 miles ( depends on closest server to you )
5. Smart boost for console
6. Bandwidth resovation is 20mb up and down for Xbox console

1. Steady Ping on SIMPLE RECOMMENDED. GEO LATENCY ON , NO PING ASSISTS, STRICT MODE
2. Go to Favourites.
3. Bandwidth Reservation
4.Put these ports in as you see thanks to @Chaiyoabc
5. Put speed to 50 down-50 up or 100 down-50 up
6.Advance ping option an put these settings
7. check your buffer bloat on https://www.waveform.com/ . To see if you can get a A+ . Once you have A+ you should be good to go.
8. GamePlay
9. Stats for nerds should look like this while your playing
10. Black Ops 6 Gameplay (pc) ( No Geo Filter)

So update with my new R3 router (I’m new to netduma )it’s my first ever gaming router and it was a great choice for sure , smart boost is a great feature steady ping is to but sometimes don’t work but it is great when it works , and a adblocker didn’t realise how many features the router has after reading other posts and tweaking stuff and YT of the full setup of the R3 anyway
I’ve been having so much fun with it on call of duty MP haven’t really done much in warzone won few games on resurgence but mainly been playing multiplayer to test it and find the best sweet spot (as they say ) for myself , as everyone else ISP house hold is different etc had a few resets after trying to get it to work with BT Smart HUB2 , but found another post on the forum and followed the steps and information given by Fraser
would I recommend the R3 to anyone thinking of buying it for call of duty or other games yes I would been so much fun so far thanks

I've sent you all .23 via PM, you can upgrade from Settings > Troubleshooting, once complete I'd recommend doing a factory reset
There will be another update either this week or early next, maybe both, not sure yet. It's up to you, I've sent it to you anyway just in case.
It's best to make a topic for any issues you're facing as I'll always reply there. I get so many PMs it's not feasible for me to answer them all

Hey, welcome to the forum & thanks for your purchase!
There isn't too much you need to do, in terms of plugging everything in, that'll be covered by the guide on the box. The only thing I would suggest is to copy the WAN IP of the R3 from Settings > WAN and enter that into your Hub DMZ function. It's up to you but you can then disable the WiFi on the hub. Make sure ALL devices are connected to the R3 and that's it for physical setup.
