Sadly, that is beyond my abilities. Having said that, I thought it may have been the power supply so I tried with a different one, but the result was the same, no power at the R3 level

Have you a Analyzer to check the power supply?
But only if you know what you do.
    12V Output?

Sorry my Englich is not good. 🙃

Would guess manufacturer defect you'll just have to wait till you get a replacement by Fraser/Netduma.

@Fuzy yups, basically it is what I want to do, but instead of using some limited QoS, I would love for all my internet traffic to go through the SmartBoost that R3 has to offer.
@Netduma Fraser that would be lovely mate, these days my networking needs are much simpler then a couple year ago, but being able to fully use the final shape of what use to be known as  'anti jitter/ anti spike' towards the the end of R1 life, is at the top of my list.

Just did the disable SmartBoost test, with no luck. Still cannot establish access behind R3 when I am using PPTP on TP-LINK.
All my gaming bits, Xbox, iMac etc are already connected to R3, which is great.
All my streaming devices such as Apple TV, my TV, Sonos products, are connected to the TP-LINK.
Right now I can run R3 in DMZ at the ISP level, and TP-LINK does not need open ports or DMZ to run PPTP when it is connected to my ISP router.
This setup works, but it essentially means that the most traffic heavy devices are outside the control of R3 and hence why I would love to find the solution to my issue, so that R3 can properly manage the whole of my network and not just the bit that is used when my Xbox is on.

    Yeah, take the test!
I imagine you want to put all your peripherals behind the TP-Link?
Otherwise, you can tinker and put the TP-link and the R3 behind the ISP router one in DMZ the other with a port opening specific to your PPTP VPN. And only put the devices that need the VPN behind the TP-Link...

I think it's probably related to some other issues so I'm not sure, Fuzy might have better advice on this than me!

@Fuzy the TP-LINK is set as a router, it has to be that way because otherwise it would not be able to act as PPTP VPN. In terms of DMZ, everything is as it should be, or so I think. R3 in DMZ at the ISP router and the TP-LINK in DMZ on R3. Still no luck.
@Netduma Fraser count me as the first person who had tried it, and sadly it does not work. I cannot establish a PPTP VPN connection on my TP-LINK when TP-LINK is connected to R3.  If TP-LINK is connected to IPS router, I have no problem establishing the PPTP VPN.
Also, there was a firmware update, and ever since I did it I have not had a single instance of not being able to access UI.
  12. Thanks
lukasz got a reaction from Krush in Hello there, it has been ages!
Let me try to explain this a bit better.
Everything starts with my ISP router, which has to be a router because they do not give me an option to turn it into a mode mode only.
R3 is then connected to the ISP router, and then if I connect TP-LINK to R3 (this is so that all traffic can be monitored and handled by R3), TP-LINK will work normally and get internet access etc.
However, if I set PPTP VPN on my TP-LINK which is connected to R3, TP-LINK loses all internet access, R3 still has access to internet but when TP-LINK is set to PPTP VPN whilst connect to R3, it becomes a brick.
Now if I connect the TP-LINK to ISP router instead of R3, I can set it to PPTP VPN and have both access to internet and the VPN connection that I want,.
I hope that this makes sense.

Welcome back! You won't be able to do the PPTP unfortunately, it has been requested though.
I am still investigating the issue with being unable to access the interface, I don't know for certain whether it is SmartBOOST being enabled that is causing it. Are you leaving the interface open for long periods of time?

At the beginning i wanna say this just a copy and paste job and punting together how to set it up.

So to start you should have only your super hub plug ed and NetDUMA R1 should not be powered up etc.

    Then Follow this steps

To enable modem mode on your new Super Hub

    1. Make sure you are connected (wired or wirelessly) to your  Super Hub.

    2. Open your Internet browser.

    3. Log in to your Super Hub's settings page by entering 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your Internet browser.

    4. Enter your Super Hub's administration username and password. The default details are printed on the bottom of the Super Hub. If you have changed the default username or password, enter those details instead.

    5. Once you've logged in, click Super Hub Settings to see the Modem Modesection.

    6. Click the Enable Modem Mode button. A pop-up will ask you to confirm your selection.

    7. Click Yes to continue. Your Super Hub will reboot and enter Modem Mode.

Note: Once in Modem Mode, the IP address you use to access your Super Hub changes from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.100.1

Now turn off the Super Hub.

Now take a Ethernet cable and connect it to this port on super hub

Plug the other end  of the ethernet cable into port 1 (labelled - PoE) located at the back of your Netduma router.

Now Power Up the Super Hub and the NetDuma R1 Router.

After some time you should have the internet connection and be good to go.

If you still dont have internet connection restart just the superhub.

after that just follow the stuff form quick start guide.

Unplug any other wired devices that are connected to your ISP hub and instead plug them into any of the four remaining ports (2, 3, 4, 5) on your Netduma router. At this point, the only wired device that should now be connected to your ISP hub is your new Netduma router.

On all your wireless devices, e.g laptop, smart phone, tablet etc, connect to the WiFi connection “Netduma R1”. The password is the first 12 characters of the serial number (SN) located on the small white label on the side of the Netduma packaging. Your serial number should look something like this: ‘573C04D2H593/289’ therefore the wireless password would be ‘573C04D2H593’.

At this point every device in your home should be connected to the Netduma router and not the ISP hub. Open a web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Explorer) on a device that is connected to your router e.g. your laptop. Type the following into the address bar: http://192.168.88.1and hit enter. This is the Netduma router control panel. A tour will now walk you through the router’s main features which will take around five minutes.
