ISP dns are often the fastest (even if you won't see the difference in web page loading) because they can be regionalized... but by using them your ISP can collect data about your browsing or other. There are plenty of DNS providers personally I use cloudfare! (1.1.1.1 in primary and 1.0.0.1 in secondary and "that of my service provider in tertiary in case of failure").

I don't know the price difference between an integrated switch on a 1G vs 2.5G router but just a 2.5G Wan would allow for better Wifi6 performance... 6E Then there are a lot of hardward / softward constraints on the routers... For example, my ISP router allows me to have 10G (8G in Gpon) in SFP+ (with an SFP+ compatible switch behind) but the integrated switch of the 4-port RJ45 ISP router only allows me to have 1G shared... (stupid) Environment (OS) + speed, it's paid for... and it's very expensive!

Abysmally slow speeds on PS5 and also kind of everywhere.
Krush replied to Atom Glory's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hi @Atom Glory I have max wifi speeds of +-300/300 Mbps with the R2, the best is to separate the 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz bands, the latter allowing you to have the best speed but not necessarily the best stability... (all in knowing that the multiplayer game does not need a lot of bandwidth!) -
Salut @Thechamp220 T’as juste à mettre « neufbox » au lieu de « 60 » c’est le numéro de l’option dhcp… Branche l’ont au wan du R2 et voilà !

Firmware XR1000 version 1 (.44) is better than (.64 and .68)
Krush replied to Derlandes's topic in Community Discussion
hi @Derlandes You can see the differences between the different FWs. By browsing the release notes on this link! https://www.netgear.com/support/download/?model=XR1000 Among other security updates, you can see that between FW.44 and FW.68 there are many improvements and bugfixes. -
adBlocker missing on XR1000?
Krush replied to Sianlu's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hi@Sianlu the R2 administration page via a web browser on a computer is much more complete than the mobile application! -
The R2 does not work as an AP! Peripherals on 2 different subnets will not be able to communicate with each other... Simply restarting them electrically can help, keep in mind that using the same ssid on 2 different wifi routers is clearly a problem!

Have you set congestion control to "always"? As indicated upstream, because if there is no traffic detected as a priority, the congestion will not be taken into account! I already had this kind of peak on the benchmark result, it was mainly due to a badly set QoS on another device upstream of the Netduma! Do you get this result also by trying this link? https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat

I ended up upgrading my 10G installation by replacing my NETGEAR GS810EMX switch (ethernet with an ASUS XG-C100C card on the PC) with a Zyxel XGS1210-12 (sfp+ singlemode with an Intel X520-DA1 card on the PC). It's day and night, I no longer encounter any disconnection problems, the speeds are substantially similar but I can finally use smb 2-3, and above all the overheating problems due to 10G ethernet are moderate now! + all the features offered that actually work!
-
we can compare it to a wifi connection, it all depends on the environment, the distance from the signal and all the disturbances between the signal and the box5G! The congestion load at peak hours is also a factor of instability...

Does the PS5 have a static ip on the dhcp (ethernet) of R2? From memory the problem on PS5 is that the wifi and ethernet connection can be mixed, which poses a problem at the dhcp level (is it possible to deactivate wifi on the ps5?)

On old generation consoles, it is quite easy to get an advantage over other players without cheating (games without cross platform)... Just replace the HDD with an SSD internally or put an SSD or SSHD in USB3 and save the games on it! From memory on BO3 on Xbox I entered the lobbies 2 minutes before everyone else... This is no longer the case now on the latest COD because the lobbie starts only after all the players have loaded the map!

This will allow you to show more explicitly the problem you may have encountered! "This is the first video I found for the example..." Just type screen in the Windows search bar Under windows 11, you have the possibility to make either a photo capture or a video capture (recorded and voila) It also exists under W10 but without the video recording option!

If you want the party to reach the servers in your comfort zone, you have to be the party leader using the geofilter! (Unless they also use geofilter) Have you tried setting the ping to 90ms? at worst you will play on the US East servers

If you want to get the best performance for the game on your PC, just put it in performance mode and choose xmp mode for your RAM! For OC your graphics card, I recommend MSI after burner "Free "and test with 3D mark in demo mode, "also free"! There's nothing to complicate, just take the time! https://store.steampowered.com/app/223850/3DMark/ http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup.zip All the information is given on the internet, just take the time to do the research!
