  1. Thanks for the info, we'll have to investigate. Alex will test this on his end.
  2. Okay so it may be a case of some servers taking much longer to ping. Thanks for the information, Alex is aware so while he's testing for the cloud he'll be able to have a look.
  3. So it does appear then it just takes ~5 minutes or so? That's quite odd, what is your NAT type?
  4. Have you tried it on a previous firmware since the game release to see if it is the same at all?
  5. Okay that is good to know. It may be getting caught by QoS, could you disable this completely from the Anti-Bufferbloat 3 line menu please and try again?
  6. It's possible that VLAN could be causing it but lets take a look at some other options first. Most WiFi issues I've seen are to do with smart connect being enabled as not all devices support it very well, especially older devices. Have you tried disabling smart connect and connecting directly to 2.4GHz?
  7. Hi h U e Y, the team will try to send the fix to your router most likely on Monday. Please look out for a response then.
  8. Hi Stuie, I've let the team know so they'll likely get back to you on Monday.
  9. The game will try and connect you to whatever server is available at the time and they probably have their own calculations on what server to put you on. As I mentioned that is how the game works and we can't work around that as they pick the server once you're loading in. All you can do is leave in spectating mode and then just keep leaving the lobby until you get into the server you want, I realise that's frustrating but there isn't much that can be done if you want that server every time.
  10. That definitely couldn't hurt. It's impossible to say, there could easily be 100's you're right. I don't think you need to specifically add them to the deny list because you'll still load in and block it anyway and get kicked back. I'd just keep it on spectating mode, see if you get the server you want and if not back out straight away, it is probably quicker than waiting to be kicked each time.
  11. It's worth mentioning that 'allowing' a server by adding it to the list does not guarantee you will get it every time. It simply means you will be able to connect to it despite whatever Geo-Filter settings you may have at the time (e.g. if it would normally be blocked by being outside the radius it would be allowed) but this does not mean you will get it all the time. The only thing you have control over when it comes to ping is the distance (done already) and local congestion. If you're not using QoS currently I would suggest you do so and this could potentially lower the ping if you had congestion. Most likely that when it shows as a low ping briefly that isn't the case and it's just establishing a connection. The way Fortnite works is it only searches for a server once you're already loading into that player running around lobby. If you block it at this stage you have to wait for it to kick you back. You essentially have to keep trying for a server until you get the one you want.
  12. I've asked for an update on the firmware. I realise it is frustrating waiting for this.
  13. It's a fix, so once it has been put on your router we'll comment back here and then you can proceed with manually upgrading the router yourself
  14. Hey, welcome to the forum! Could you please ensure you disable IPv6 so we can attempt a connection to your router next week?
  15. Joseph is the one who sends the fix, I will ask him for an update.
  16. You can see the explanation in the help icon on WAN Settings: Disable IGMP Proxying The IGMP Proxying function lets a LAN PC to receive the multicast traffic it is interested in from the Internet. You can click this check box to disable the function if you do not need it. QoS manages packets, if it is dropping important packets to do with the hue then disabling this would resolve it. If you have the same issue or have suggestions to contribute to the issue please post back.
  17. There is a beta firmware for the XR700 that includes this so I imagine the XR300 should follow shortly.
  18. If you're trying out of home make sure to untick IGMP Proxying in WAN settings, that should help them communicate over the internet.
  19. It's been released on XR450 & XR500 so if you don't have the firmware available at the moment then I should imagine it will come soon.
  20. A new firmware has been released recently. Please check in Settings > Administration > Firmware Update for a new version. I have just double checked and it is appearing for me. Hopefully this fixes your issue.
  21. Hey, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue. It is a hard one to test as we don't have that equipment available at the moment but thank you for offering your assistance, I will see if the team would like to take advantage of this.
  22. That is the latest for the original firmware and .29 is the latest for DumaOS, which one are you on?
  23. I don't have any timeframes unfortunately it's up to Netgear.
  24. The .29 version is the latest current version so you're all good!
