We usually recommend 70% starting point for Congestion Control and then experimenting from there. What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Are ALL devices connected to the XR? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Have you entered those speeds into the router? How have you setup Congestion Control? How have you setup Traffic Prioritization? What game are you playing? How is the PS5 connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter?

Help with putting R3 on my network
Netduma Fraser replied to digital_steve's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Fair enough, definitely easier to control what is affecting your network that way, let us know how you get on! -
If you're not sure what settings do in the network settings it's always best to leave them alone. If you don't have IPv6 then enabling IPv6 won't do anything. DMZ passes all traffic through to the device you put in it, this can be helpful to open NAT but is a major security issue if you do it for a PC so if you've done that take it out, it's fine to use for a console.

On the QoS page, in the Congestion Control menu you can adjust the speeds manually, then QoS will work a lot better, that should prevent any lag issues. You're still getting bandwidth on the console, gaming just doesn't use much so it will never show that kind of amount. -

It may be that due to this time of year more people are playing and the servers are becoming fuller which in turn makes it hard to force a server if you just have the one selected -

Slowdowns in what sense? On bandwidth allocation, on the devices setting you can give the TV less bandwidth then you can disable Share Excess and that will have everything keep to the bandwidth set but keep in mind everything will be limited -

It won't prioritize WiFi over wired, especially as the console is the only thing you've given priority to. Are you experiencing issues in game when the TV is used? -
If it can't ping the server properly it will have a hard time stabilizing them. Glad to hear that was the cause, thanks for the update!

You shouldn't have an issue with close servers, they're just concerned about high pings caused by those using VPNs -

Connect it to your existing router for the moment, complete the wizard and then upgrade to the latest firmware, either from here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/57039-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-40290/ or the interface, then attempt to use those details again to connect. -
It's either that the in game ping includes the calculation for processing delay (which all games have but not all choose to show and we can't determine that value) or we can't properly ping the server - if the ping method shows as traced rather than direct then that is likely the case.

Great thanks, I'll pass it on! -
A triangle would indicate it has been blocked, you don't want that to appear in your region because you want to allow it. What happens when you search for a game exactly?
