Administrators Popular Post Netduma Alex Posted February 4 Administrators Popular Post Share Posted February 4 Hi Everyone, We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get a new update with new features and stability fixes out to you. Important Note: You may see "Critical Error: Failed to load minimum required components" after upgrade. Please ignore this message and refresh the page by pressing CTRL+F5. This will reload the page wihout cache. Changelog: Behavioural Identification is a new feature which identifies traffic based on the way it behaves. This allows us to categorise and prioritise traffic which hasn't yet been added to our DPI database, ensuring day one support for new games. It can also assume and categorise encrypted traffic based on the way that it behaves, which means that, for the first time ever, we can prioritise Gaming, Streaming and Video Calls even while you're using a VPN! New Themes have been added to DumaOS, you can now pick from Traditional Red, Gamer Green, Baby Blue or Cherry Pink WPS Support has been added. Press the WPS button on the back of your R3 to start pairing mode for 2 minutes. Translations have been added to the UI, you can now set your DumaOS to Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, French, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish and German. If there are any incorrect translations, you can report them in the change language page. LAN Disconnections have been fixed, you shouldn’t be getting random drop-outs for wired devices anymore. Ping Optimiser has been overhauled and should be quicker and more stable than before. WiFi Auto Channel Selection has been improved, you'll get better speeds over WiFi. PPPoE VLAN compatibility has been fixed, you can now use both PPPoE login and VLAN tags at the same time and everything will work. Memory leaks have been fixed, your unit should no longer have to restart because of memory build up. LAN IPs were sometimes not being assigned before, this is fixed now. Many various frontend fixes. Various Stability and Security Fixes There are more new features coming this year that we've been working on as well. Keep your eyes peeled and we'll hopefully share them soon! You can install the firmware via Settings > Troubleshooting > Upload Firmware, and upload the file below: DumaOS-R3-4.0.540.sig We will be pushing this via the One Click Update over the next week or so. egwok, V1k1, DOGGAVELI and 19 others 16 2

This way when new games come out the router recognises game traffic, or streaming traffic etc and correctly prioritises it.
PharmDawgg
BI and DPI have to be use together for everything to work as it should but it isn't perfect. There may be miscategorisations. Miscategorisations It's possible that there will be some miscategorisations when using BI. E.g if you are Gaming and Downloading through a VPN, it will struggle to prioritise the gaming as the behaviour is different to normal gaming traffic due to the download. An example of what to report as a miscategorisation is something like: VPN + Gaming (No other traffic on the PC) is coming up as Work From Home. Please if you find something like this, please grab Netduma a wireshark (if possible) capture whilst its happening, explain the miscategorisation and Netduma try to fix it. I know everyone may not be familiar with wireshark but it will help Netduma correct the miscategorisation asap. V1k1
Netduma team, these updates have been great steps in all the right directions. I had some posts regarding Link Speed being limited to 10/10 Mbps or 100/100 Mbps on certain LAN ports on the beta forum page for this. Fraser was very helpful to relay this to the team and overnight they had corrected Port 2, but then Port 3 is still not 1000/1000 and Port 4, which was originally working, is now 10/10. I confirm my PC / ethernet cable is not the issue because it works in Port 1 and 2, but if I simply swap over to Port 3 or Port 4, speed is reduced. Also, the team had fixed Port 2, so I know they had worked some magic. I didn't want to lose sight of this on the Beta page since the same firmware was pushed out here. Can someone possibly let me know if I can or can't reboot, or maybe try to re-update with the same firmware version to see if it fixes the ports? I am hoping to have ports back to normal by the weekend. Thank you and sorry to re-post here. I'm hoping others can also check their 1-4 LAN ports and check their PC Ethernet settings Link speed as I'm wondering if mine somehow got messed up due to the initial beta firmware install messed up and I had to reboot and re-do it. Danmc17
Hello, I've dug the R3 back out of the box in anticipation of this update. I've successfully applied the update. Factory reset. I am running on bt full fibre 1gb. R3 connected directly to ONT box. Ran the setup wizard, pppoe ipv6 lan and wan selected. Connected fine using the bt credentials But, I find myself with only 330mbps download. (lan) Does anyone know why?

Hi @WiS you should be able to do that now yes. The only game so far I know that you can't use the Geo Filter on is Halo Infinite as they have done something to stop you using it. BI is more for the priority aspect though Geo-Latency can essentially do that for you for the most part. 3 hours ago, Danmc17 said: Hello, I've dug the R3 back out of the box in anticipation of this update. That'll be around the max you can achieve with PPPoE I think. If you connect your hub back then have it handle PPPoE then have the R3 in its DMZ you'll likely get higher speeds Danmc17
