I payed 215€ for this router, used it 3-5 days after I realized that the router makes weird noises and all features doesn't work, it also disconnected me in middle of an event (in-game).

Support was pretty nice and helpful, but I still got disconnected. Even after screen sharing and let the support to setup everything on my pc via screen sharing it still continued to disconnecting me.

So they told me that I can send it back. Did it in 24h, I even keep the bill as a prove. It happen about 26.11 till today I didn't see my money. I also emailed Netduma via email and I'm going to sue Netduma if I don't see my money till end 2015. I don't feel making jokes and waiting for anything.

Netduma I wrote it in public and I will keep my promise.

Best regards

I don't understand what is so bad about the router in the first place. Let's face it when it's working and working right it's amazing! I think the trouble is, some titles aren't made as well as they could be! (Hardware optimised) (game not so) I mean cod on the uk server gives me maybe 3 out of 10 gd games for playability so I move my geof over to France's server only and I get 8/9 out of 10 games. All whilst monitoring what my ping to the game is and other players in the lobby too! Tell me what other router can you do that with!! I say send the Devs I polite reminder in a pm asking about your transaction before seeking the right legal action!

But to post a message like this in a forum is both negative and hurtful to the forum community that support the product and distasteful!

I was among the first to buy this router. For me, it wasn't a purchase. It was an investment. I invested on these guys because I believed in them. I still do.

Do I have complaints?  Of course I do. For example 1.03.5 didn't meet my expectations. But that's OK. I'm part of this community, and I have good friends in here, that can help me and the product to get better. This is good enough for me.

Ive went through about 5 top end routers that couldnt hold netdumas jock strap. This router is amazing. The problem with certain customers somply put that they expect a router to compensate a crap service from their provider. And expect the router to make them a better gamer. The router does everything advertised and more.

Apparently the duma isn't for everyone. There are always a few that things don't work out for but it's more the exception than the rule.

Be patient these things take time.

I have this router since January 2015 and is doing work for me, I don't know why people complain too much they want magic stuff,if you guys wants to kill people easily, set up a private mach with bots, this router help you to get better lobbies regarding ping, it doesn't mean that you are going to be better, that depend on your skills, I don't like the negative comments in this forum about the router because I believe is just a 1 % of the people that aren't happy right now, is not fair for the Duma team to read this type of comments, I support you guys a 100 % your product is amazing and is gonna be better soon =)

The OP has a right to get his money back if he is not satisfied with the product.

However, I'm noticing more and more threads where it is blatantly obvious the person didn't set up the router correctly and also believes it will turn them into a gaming god just by virtue of having it.

Not to sound like a shill, but the R1 Netduma does as it advertises. It allows you to minimize lag by being able to selectively choose servers and hosts that are closer to you. 90% of console games don't allow you to do this. So, it basically fills in a basic function devs leave out in console games, but that has been a staple in PC games for years. When I tell people this... exactly like I worded it here... They are amazed and want to know more about the R1. However, that's where I stop because everything else is out of my and the Netduma developers controls:

Does a user have sufficient internet to game with to start?

Is the user tech savvy enough to know how to configure it properly?

How good is the user at playing certain types of games?

Most importantly...

What expectations does a user have of the Netduma even after I briefly explain it?

These are valid questions and things the Netduma developers have absolutely no control over. Period. There are no exceptions. So, if any one of these things is "off", of course, it is easier to blame the router because it's "new" and an easy scapegoat, too.

I don't do that well in CoD anymore ;)

I'm 41, and I do not have the reflexes of kids more than half my age hopped up on Adderall, or Red Bull. However, I still enjoy the game because it's just plain fun to play. I may not win a 1v1 twitch reflex battle, but I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I can outplay objectives 99% better than most kids who use DOM and other modes as extended TDM. I cap flags, and not just the obvious "B" flag everybody fights over. I'm talking Ninja capping of the enemies flag to flip the spawns in our favor. That's my strength and I use that kind of strategic thinking to bring enjoyment to the game. The R1 helps with this because it allows me to win more 1v1 than without it due to latency, but even if I did not have the R1, it's using my brain more than my aging trigger finger that helps me enjoy CoD more than anything else. Again, realizing limitations and expectations is something the Netduma never claims to be responsible for...
