XIJMAW Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I keep getting booted from every single game I try and get into with the geo-filter on, Doesn't matter if I have strict selected or not. My settings are inline with what it says on the wikia to supposedly make it work but at the moment I cant find a single game. Worked perfectly up until about 2 weeks ago. Now the geo-filter doesnt do anything at all but boot me.

I do indeed have bleeding edge cloud ticked. Sometimes do see padlocks and sometimes don't, but when getting kicked it is mostly with padlocks present.

benlarkins Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 I came to report I have experienced the exact same thing. I have to leave the geofilter off in order to play Destiny at all. I also have bleeding edge cloud selected. If there is any data I can provide to help let me know.
frustrated Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Hi,just adding my recent updates,yes im also getting sort of the same issue,i can play with geo filter on tho no issues,but after about a hour i will get kicked with "beaver error",turn off geo filter and will play absolutley fine no issues except matchmaking is everywhere. So not sure why this happens,all work in progress but cant work it out.?

frustrated Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Hi,not sure what you mean there,i never have strict on its always off,problem is you will just be playing along and you get kicked all you see is the red circles no padlocks,when you get kicked its so random mate...its all jjust odd sometimes im in 200ms games upto 400 on the graph its all juts odd .
benlarkins Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 If by hosts being blocked you mean hosts with the yellow exclamation, I don't see any hosts being blocked with strict off. There will be hosts outside of the geofilter but they are not blocked.

R3M!X Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 This router is unreliable for Destiny based on my experience. Ive almost never had strict mode "ON" as it is a guaranteed boot. Even with strict turned off I get the usual beaver error code sometimes.
frustrated Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Im getting kicked more now as well,never see a padlock just kicked,strict is always off as well,very odd...actually works with geo disabled sometimes..it is strange.

If you get booted with strict off, please provide me with IDs from anything that is getting blocked - caution triangles or padlocks. (Click on them, at the top of the host descriptor you can find the IDs). I'm testing it myself today, I've got some IDs from others and doing some 1 on 1s so I should be able to put out a cloud update very soon

I rarely have any problem with geo ENABLED during PVP. Again I do not enable it during PVE. Fraser, let me know =)

Kbryant Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I too have had great success with the router during Destiny games. One thing I did notice regarding beaver errors is when searching for games and connecting to hosts inside your filter area sometimes those hosts have people in their fireteam outside the filter range and the Geo filter is not picking that up. Usually if that happens you will be kicked out while you're flying in or right as you land. Unfortunately the only way I seem to solve this is to have my Geo filter open while I'm searching and so I can back out if I see that they're outside of the range. Unfortunately I have yet to see any padlock people yet so I am on able to help on that front. Warlock
