GreenSteez
Hello, after going through the wiki and checking out some of the posts I was able to get my download speed which started at 30mb all the way up to 126mb... which is around where it should be. However my upload speed is around 0.60mb.. when it should be around 20 - 22mb. I've tried to check and uncheck most of the suggested options and I haven't seen any change what so ever in my upload speed. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or maybe a list of things for me to try? Also I use Comcast internet if that means anything.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2015 Hey, welcome to the forum, that's strange, usually the upload is fairly stable and its the download that fluctuates the most. Upload slider on 100% and reset device distribution and try it again, as well as using different speed test servers
GreenSteez
thanks for the fast reply. I realized that I did not upgrade to the latest update. Once I did that, my upload went up to about 2.5 to 3.0 but still way far off the 20+ it should be. My download is still working great. I made sure my sliders were set to 100% and reset device distribution. I also tried another speed test site that gave very similar results... It is strange that my upload is being boggled down so much.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 22, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 22, 2015 Ahh okay that is good, some improvement there. Can you do an internet diagnostics on the duma to see how your line is doing please also is the upload fine through your ISP hub?
GreenSteez
On the diagnostics it says ping is good, jitter is good, spikes good, no packet loss... and what do you mean by isp hub?
GreenSteez
to update again... I just plugged in my modem directly into my computer and got an upload of 24... so I know it has to be something with the netduma settings.

GreenSteez
that is the first place I visited before coming here. It is what helped me get my download speed to where it should be, however nothing has worked to get my upload speed corrected.

Pull the sliders low then back up to 100% in congestion control encase they have got stuck.
GreenSteez
Just tried it... nothing seemed to change. I will say that I tried to load up a game and my upload went up to around 4.5 to 5mb.... but its still way off from the 20+
Zennon
Is this a speed test from speedtest.net from a wired machine or ps4 speedtest?

GreenSteez
This is from speedtest.net from my wired pc... for whatever reason the upload speed seemed to be just a little faster when I had my xbox running.

Like lucazs has pointed out , have you reset distribution and update distribution on the congestion control page?
GreenSteez
Yes, I've done that many times, that is what led my download speed to reach 126mb... however the highest I can get my upload speed is around 4 to 6mb when it should be 21 to
Zennon
Do you have another Ethernet cable to try between your modem and Netduma?
GreenSteez
I just tried 3 different Ethernet cables including the one that came with the Netduma and none of those seemed to change the speed. My xbox is now off and the speeds are lower at 2 to 3mb now. I'm wonder why its faster when my xbox is turned on and connected.

GreenSteez
just tried that once again.. turned both off.. unplugged... waited a minute.. plugged both back in... download speed 126, upload speed 2.
GreenSteez
Is there not anything else new that we can try? I've been at this for almost 6 hours now. All I know is that I can take my 5 year old linksys e3000 router out of the box and plug it in and it'll get me proper upload speeds. It seems ridiculous that i'm losing over 20mb on my upload speed when my download speed is fine.
