It's always useful to have enabled to help cover any jitter/spikes as you can never know when they may occur. In your case using simple or expert set at 20ms would limit the increase in the ping while still receiving the benefits.

How did you determine the suggestion of 20ms for Steady Ping (expert).  Thanks.

From what has been said the ping fluctuates between 15-17ms, that's what we know but it could fluctuate a little more so as an extra buffer that's why I suggested 20ms. Setting it at 20ms would add less ping than simple mode also so overall it's a good balance.

@Matthew_DPing is king the lower the better the only time you would want to use steady ping is when you have a fluctuation that is noticeable like ex (5-20) if it just 15-17ms there really no purpose as your just adding additional latency and 2ms differential isn't going to affect you.

---Ping is not necessarily the King!

A stable server... An optimized line... works very well.

I have seen people play on 100ms servers and it works very well for them.

Keep in mind that Steady ping is a tool that certainly adds an extra ping buffer but that ensures stability in games (no lag, WTF moment) on unstable servers or in case of congestion on your line.---

@Netduma FraserIs it possible in the next software update at the end of the month, as Alex said, to set this to start with 5ms and not start with 10ms? Example: I have the Geo Filter for the Legionowo server for MW3 and my Ping is 40ms and when I set it to expert 10ms, as you can see in the video, my ping is 50ms. So I don't see the difference between Simple and Expert mode. If I set the Expert ping to 45ms, my ping would then be 95ms in the game.
