Once the team are back from the holidays and they have the ability to fix any major issues that could have potentially happened due to that version - it looks fine to me from what I can tell.

I can send it to you manually, it's the exact same as it would be when it hits your router automatically

What improvements is this update for? Does it include vpn?

Wouldn't it be better if we get more transparency in the FW situation? Like I thread which is sticked to the main site of the r3? 

I'm only waiting for a FW for hybrid VPN and would like to test it when it will be released 😇.

Usually firmware will be pushed to the router, when the router shows an update is available and you click it a window will appear that will detail what is in the update. Due to the holidays and not wanting to push new not fully tested firmware I've been providing the latest one and monitoring for any major issues
