Using this guys recommended Dolby Atmos settings with Home Theatre setting in game, and it’s the best audio I’ve had with MW2 so far.

Same her  oi also turn on  mono sound set it to 0

I ualso use  haedphones bass boost now  with his setup i find  headphones bass boost better atm though  he does  recomend  homethertre it footsteps lower with home theartre  boss boost it makes them a lot louder do to the  lower dynamic range from what i heard

@kinel As explained before: To use the steelseries GG software via my PC for my xbox, I go through the audio jack output of my screen (connected via hdmi to the screen) which I connect to the audio in jack on my motherboard. Then I check the input in so that it is listened to at the PC sound settings and I finally adjust the sonar software!

To sum up, the audio stream from the xbox is transmitted to the PC via the screen!

The adio out on tv is that the two plugs red and white and the audio in jack on  mother board is that 1   connector  35ml jack

So im guessing the dac eq is plugged into  the pc

  Thanks for your help@fuzy

Im clueless on pc sound as never used it  for years

Ok I’ll test over the weekend to see if it’s any better.

You just need to take this type of adapter!

I would like to hear from people who played the cod mw2  beta  or play cod games in genral

I wantedTo find out what headphones / headsets there using and how well they could hear enemys footsteps in mw2 beta

this would be helpful to me and may help others here maybe

i just seen a youtube video from devs  saying they will be using 3d sound engine to help pinpoint enemy locations sounds

Atm my current ps5 setup for audio is astro mix amp tr gen 4  akg 702 headphones

The first week of the beta my setup was ok  i could hear enemys footsteps quite good

2nd week of beta i struggled  to hear footsteps  / it was a lot harder

As i heard they nerfed footsteps audio

-i noticed a lot of players could still easily hear my footsteps from miles away

I could easily tell this from watching kill cams and youtubers saying how easily they can hear footsteps of enemys

And im not talking about players running dead silence

I think its time for my next upgrade to a new setup

my  only purpose of these headset is to soundwhore

As long as i can hear footstps easily and can pinpoint where there from i will be happy

I have my thoughts on some

but i wanted to hear from users hear on their setup and opinions on there setups

The more feedback the better

I dont really wanna waste more money on  another setup lol

I just bought my old setup last year

But its defently time to upgrade  i think my setup is maybe outdated  for the cod mw2 soun engine what ever that is

Xbox series x + Mixamp pro Tr + Hdmi 2.1 audio adpter + thezeference (setup for mixamp)

Dolby Digital is working perfect, very good to hear footsteps from any place or level.

I paid 116e on  Black Friday now is 140e.

and The Zeference setup (in my opinion best one)

So is this  the correct setup

Option1I plug  the rc lead into my tv then  the 3.5ml   into m y pc sound card

Then i  plug my steeelseries dac into pc  by usb on pc i open liseting port on setting

Damn i was just looking at the back of my tv  lgc1 55inch  120hz tv

Thers no  rca  inputs to pluginto

 It only has

Optical in or out not sue what one

Haedphonejack

3hdmi  two usb  and a coaxial  plug

Or do you have setup  option2    3.5ml plugged into headphone jack on tv  then  its plugged into pc  with the rca  into pc

 Then dac into pc

This way

Im trying to work out the correctway

Sorry  for the silly questions im just trying to figure it out

After participating on this thread a couple of months ago, I ended up with an awesome setup just letting everybody know. I got the ifi zen stack paired with an hd800s. Additionally I purchased an audio optimization from sensequality.com. They use equalizer APO and peace for your specific setup. So footsteps are enhanced and gunshot sounds are minimized. Really happy with my setup.

Unfortunately its only for pc. Equalizer APO and peace are apps which can target your specific headphones.

If you want to use sonar on PS5, it's possible... On xbox series s, I work like this:

I transferred all the audio stream from my xbox to my PC via the jack of my screen (no audio output on xbox series S apart from the hdmi), then via the stereo mix of the PC's sound card by opening the listening on the input line, either the flow is transferred to my audio speakers or to my headphones by my audio line output.

Sorry to bother you again

@fuzy

Is there any chance you could post what  pc you have   the specs     mainly the sound card make and model

As i cant get it to work with my pc  onboard soundcard

I think its time i bought a newerr pc  with your sound card or simmilar

 Thanks

Lol it works but lnky from 1 eae   i think its mono sound

@fuzy

I think i know the reason why  @@fuzy

The l cable you posted  before  rca      i bet the two plugs rca bit plugs into your tv

As my tv dosent have ghose connections

My lgc1  only gas  optical  or headphones    socket

 This is my guess

And the volume is so low   its half the volume  when i plug it in normally i can barely hear it

Thanks for the help  i have it working patrtialy lol

Thank you for sharing what they use for Audio optimization. Do you mind sharing what settings/setup you had to do for those apps/softwares?

Currently I am using Corsair wireless rgb virtuoso.(I can plug them up but never do, maybe I will start using a cord).

with my Corsair headset I use Dolby atmos with all the sliders up so I’m not reducing anything I just boosted everything treating it more like an amp then I am using sound lock to limit the audio so it’s not killing my ears. I was using theatre like everyone has been saying to use but I’m swapping back and forth with headset because theatre sometimes I just too quiet for me.

going to look into using APO. I downloaded it before but never got it running efficiently

I wouldn’t worry too much about the audio at the moment…it’s total dog shit and they’ve admitted that it’s fundamentally broken. Whatever you do won’t improve things much so it’s best to wait until the S2 update and adjust settings accordingly once that’s been released (if the audio actually gets fixed).
