DumaOS geofiltering not working correctly; it is not detecting me, any friends, random other players in game, or servers. so filtering ( the main reason that i purchased this router) is not functioning properly. have set it  up with the in app guides and watched an hour long tutorial on it; still to no avail.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. Please try this:

  1. Completely quit the game and client, from the system tray as well.
  2. Remove the device from the Geo-Filter
  3. Go to Device Manager and give the device a PlayStation device type.
  4. Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter
  5. Flush the cloud
  6. Setup your settings with 0 Ping Assist (the nil slider with 30 from the Geo-Filter menu in your screenshot)
  7. Wait 2 minutes
  8. Boot up the game

Then see if it performs better please.

so changing it from a computer to a PlayStation seems to have done the trick as for actually detecting where i'm located. however it is still not filtering other players from my games as i', having people from outside my selected zone join in

Great! Destiny uses a hybrid system of servers and peers, if there are players outside your radius then they may join you via the server inside your radius, there is no way around that unfortunately.

I'm having the same issue but with Cold War. Don't have anything on Auto ping area, no servers show up. Also have nil ion the values. I've tried all the options mentioned above but nothing worked. It's not letting me do the Flush, it says "this operation is taking longer than expected" and closes.

Wondering if it's a router issue or dumaOS, it feels like it needs updates or something. I am running the latest Firmware available

Welcome to the forum!

Could you please give the router a quick reboot and see if it will let you flush the cloud?

Thanks for replying!

I tried that multiple times but it still won't let me flush the cloud. Also now when I log in to routerlogin I get this error message: NETGEAR SOAP RPC called failed

When that message appears wait 1 minute and then refresh the page, it would have flushed the cloud. We had that problem on an old R1 version but it does flush if you do that, should be fixed when the beta releases. Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing please with that error?

I didn't get the first NETGEAR error this time.

First photo is the Flush error. Second photo is after refreshing after a minute and in the game Cold War

Yes, second screenshot was in game

That looks fine but it doesn't look like you have Filtering mode enabled as the server is outside your radius.

We're working on it at the moment but it isn't currently available for the 300.

That's he thing, I do have filtering on. My fear is that what if the router is just broken. Should I return it?

I would love to try the new update but there's no release date yet right?

That's interesting, are you on PC or console?

Could you provide a screenshot of the device profile in Geo-filter?

I'm on PC. There's two PC devices because for some reason I get two so I add them both and I set them up as console following suggestions

That's interesting, do they differ at all or do they both have the same name?

One is wired connection the other is wireless. My PC is wired and wifi is off

Check on your PC what the IP is then check on the device manager and name them accordingly. Then you can delete the one that isn't being used from the Geo-Filter.

Make sure you have your settings sorted and Filtering Mode on before you even load up the game client, then you can load up the game and try to search.

I tried that, deleted the device that is not being used. As you can see in the image attached server pops up, it disappears after a few seconds and then comes back but don't get anything on auto ping.

Is that when you're searching for a game? Once you get into a game does anything appear on the Geo-Filter and does Auto Ping then populate?
