sabarblade Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 Is it similar to the XR500 where the IP'S were showing but later removed in a update or is this a permanent addition to the r1?
sabarblade Posted November 13, 2018 Author Posted November 13, 2018 Look's like this is still the case after the 1.3 update, ip's are still coming up
Administrators Netduma Admin Posted November 13, 2018 Administrators Posted November 13, 2018 Do you mean in the domain name description for a dedicated server host?
carl0024 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 yes the domain name.im sure thats what he means. pls dont get rid of it. it helps me do ping plotter on my bf1 servers on my xr500
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2018 Administrators Posted November 13, 2018 We did replace IPs with ID's but then realised that this would show in domain name anyway. I think it's too much of a hassle to obscure the IP part of the domain and just leave .vultr for example so I think we'll likely just keep it how it is for now
sabarblade Posted November 16, 2018 Author Posted November 16, 2018 yes the domain name, but ip's aren't just showing up for dedicated servers, they show P2P as well or am I missing something? edit: if you ping other players in your lobby, their IP'S show up in the domain name, i checked this with a friend and confirmed it is giving out IP's

Players are still anonymous (i.e there's no way to tell which player is which on the map). As for dedicated servers showing as peers, we're looking into solving some of those cases in our next cloud update
