MikeTHIS
I’ll add to this theory too: I live in NY, closest to the NJ server (by 100 miles). My ping is typically in the 13ms range. I have pretty fast internet on Cablevision (Altice now) of 200/60. I play with the sliders and keep them at minimum 50/50 but really don’t feel like this changes much due to my low ping. I have 0% packet loss, use hyperlane and UPnP because I have two consoles. I. Get. Melted. 90% of the time I ADS first, shoot first and get hit markers. Even if they’re not facing me I get turned and what seems like one shotted. Then I get delayed being put into games where I miss the first Cap in domination or spectate for like 20 seconds. On the rare chance I feel like I can play to my ability, it flips on me and wind up going back to not being able to get kills. It’s to the point launchers, snipers and even grenades get hit markers. I tried server surfing with one of the profiles listed on here and haven’t found one that plays better honestly. Is what it is for now I guess. mlg135i
Yes I agree mate definitely bi-polar I get that too, starts great end awful, or the other way around, and yeah being host in cod is a joke, ever since mw3 when they **** with the lag come being host makes you at a disadvantage, I seem to be host all the time, when I’m not it’s great, but why am I host surely there’s dedicated servers isn’t there! If there are I can’t seem to connect to them

mlg135i
I’m not blaming the netduma I’m just saying for some reason it runs better without it at the moment, probably cause they’ve turned at the dedicated servers off, you don’t have to get defending the netduma pal I know it’s a good piece of kit
Kris
Anyone else was doing WAY BETTER when the dedicated servers were down? The hit reg for me was nearly perfect. And no bullshit deaths. I played like 10 games without going negative. How does one explain this shit?
ColonicBoom
is there a reason why you are playing without the geo filter are you finding it better Just because there are server/matchmaking issues, I wanted to get games even if they were on a dedi further away rather than block any. I’m not blaming the netduma I’m just saying for some reason it runs better without it at the moment, probably cause they’ve turned at the dedicated servers off, you don’t have to get defending the netduma pal I know it’s a good piece of kit You said it's shit, has never worked worked and you were disappointed. It does work so of course I will respond.

kinel
IIIRL How do you froce packet loss I played a game on my usual 7ms last night but forced packet loss in the region of 20%. It gave me the best hit detection I've seen since I got the game. Work that one out it didn't last though LOL
RL317
Reactive, 100% sliders and your correct bandwidth in the set bandwidth tab but share excess off with the device prio flower adjusted to give you 1/1Mb (I pay for 50/10 so I used 2% download and 10% upload), then changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 for good measure lol Reactive and unticking share excess seem to cause packet loss on anything later than firmware 1.03.4. fuzzy clam
Let's limit ourselves to giving out advice on "how to trash our connections" to get better gameplay.I remember when this happened a couple years ago people were tweeting their connections for AW and were effecting their whole network...ie other people couldn't get on the internet, movies on Netflix or YT just buffering etc. And there were lots of issues on the forum regarding the situation as people didn't know how to get their settings (speeds) back to were they were cuz they moved so many things they couldn't remember them all especially after changing their bandwidth input and then forgetting about all the changes. And when you throttle that bad all you do is trash the lobby for the other players. Experiment with the settings, we all do and have to find your sweet spot. But if your gonna kill your connection, keep it off the forum please.

But if your gonna kill your connection, keep it off the forum please. I did say it didn't last. It was only one game that ran well... I wouldn't say it's a "fix" if it didn't clearly work properly because obviously it's not. Kindly save your suggestion for those who keep coming back here ignorantly saying "try this to 'fix lag comp'". There are certain people here - no names included - who have YouTube channels based purely off Netduma setup vids and who actually give nothing but misleading advice, and I don't ever see anyone jumping on them for it. I simply shared my experience for one game; your mileage may vary. Or, if you have any actual suggestions that result in good gameplay on 7ms, feel free to share. I doubt we'll ever see any though, judging by the state of the game...

And don't take it personal as it's not, just trying to stop an issue before it becomes one..not trying to create an issue !
