Behind the scene look at a IW server farm...

The funny thing is, if you get an IP of a server you're playing on and ping it... For the most part it's really solid. It really comes down to the very poor network coding they're using, compounded by the bad connections of players/wifi.

Rocket League was using the same servers (Gameservers.com which is Choopa and Vultr) when it first came out and for the most part it was a lag free experience. Now they are using all kinds of different providers and it's a lag-fest.

This. Before I got my Netduma I had to use my laptop connected to my PS4 to find out whether I was connecting to servers or player hosts because it was so crap most of the time. I was surprised when I saw there was always one IP registered to Choopa LLC...

Then I'd get on PingPlotter, run a test to it and it was great. Go back to IW and it's laggy. Ok... lol

It's always been my opinion that it's because COD is populated by kids on terrible connections. It's rare that I have any issues on any other games I play. It's also even more rare that I hear a squeaker going off on any of those games
