COD:IW PS4 server rejected and packet loss? Several Issues

Recommended Posts

Everytime i found a lobby i instanly got rejected as you can see in the link of the video. My settings are geo-filter 2700 km, 60ms ping, strict mode. This is very tedious and frustrating. Any help with it?

Also when i raise geo-filter to Miami or any other US server, turn off the geo-filter or simply turn off the service i found a lobby,  and i have packet loss as you can see in the "icons" or "health bars" in the middle left of the screen. When i run the internet diagnosis the results show me NO packet loss.

ISP specifications: Arris TM902 Docsis 3.0 50mb down 1.5 mb up. Modem to Duma to PS4 trought wired cat 6A (not sure if is crossover or not)

Im located in Ecuador and i just found that no one cares about south american customers. I have a terrible experience every time i try to find a decent conection.

Well your problem is that there are absolutely no dedicated servers within your radius. It is unfortunate but the closest servers to you are Florida or Brazil so you will need to include those in your radius if you want to find a game. It won't play amazingly due to your location but it will be better than other US servers you could potentially join.

So, basically the NETDUMA is useless for South American players or any other player in the world who doesnt have a nearby server that bought this router hoping to fix lag issues. Try to play to the "closest" server wish is Brazil with a latency of 250 ms. You guys should warn players in your advertising "if you dont live near a server, DONT BUY THIS"

We always guarantee the best connection possible. You will still be having a much better experience than without the router as you won't be getting any local congestion and you could be connecting to even worse servers.

Can someone explain why it keeps rejecting me from servers as you could see in the video?

I've been seeing a lot of that kicking without an explanation lately. It usually happens if I tighten my filter settings. The other night I set it up around 3 servers, as opposed to my usual 4, and got kicked from 23 of 25 lobby searches. It hasn't happened to me for a few days though. I'm in the UK and surrounded by servers. I've also found that since purchasing my second Netduma (my last one got fried RIP), I can't use ping assist only anymore. In BO3 I could set my home in the ocean, set ping assist to 20ms or 30ms or whatever and find games just fine. In IW it doesn't work even set to 50ms, despite the fact I get 50ms or lower to UK, France, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Italy, Poland and Russia servers. I also never had this laggy GUI issue before either, despite being on the same firmware

As said if your radius isn't encompassing any servers then that is why you will get removed. If you enclose the closest US servers then you shouldn't experience that issue.

I set my geo filter with the florida server with a terrible latency of 110 - 150 ms, found a lobby with terrible packet loss, frame drops and people "teleporting" this happens 3 out of 5 games i join. It is assumed that in florida the nearest server is located and still i have a terrible experience. Thanks again for not helping south american customers.

I am helping you. The router is doing it's job, getting you the closest possible server and eliminating local congestion. Without it you'd be experiencing local congestion and probably connecting to even further away servers meaning a worse experience. I understand your frustration at there not being more local servers but that is not our fault, thats to do with the people who created the game.

For what it's worth, are you able to find (P2P) games at all in your area?... for me, the Duma if anything works 'best' (again, for me) when I'm able to find P2P lobbies. Keep at it and remember it's not anything about these guys/Duma, just utterly horrible 'netcode' used for this title.

No, you dont understand the frustation because you didnt waste $200 + taxes for a uselees product hoping will help fix lag.

Its QoS eliminates local congestion, aka *lag* caused by multiple devices using a line in the home. Its geofilter allows you to set a maximum acceptable distance or latency when connecting to games, aka *lag* caused by playing on a server or host further out. Its hyper lane lets you prioritise gaming traffic, preventing *lag* caused by packet queues.

What $200 + taxes doesn't do is allow you to break the speed of light so you can connect to Brazil or the US in 10ms. If you thought that then you didn't read the feature list properly before buying, which is on you and not the Netduma team.

I know it's frustrating but we can't control the servers locations.

Without the duma you could be experiencing local congestion & far away servers. Play without the Duma for awhile and you should notice it's worse. Someone said there is P2P so you could see if you're able to get a game without covering nearby servers.
