xbox one now on moderate nat!!!! why????

Recommended Posts

Ok, that's good but turn off instant mode and use energy saving on both xboxs. Instant mode causes nat issues. Instant on wants to keep ports open all the time, routers don't like keeping ports open all the time. Google it get more details

I hate hijacking, but I'm also expericing this.

But with IW...

I'm port forwarded, no upnp, static IP. For whatever reason I'll be open and go moderate in the middle of a game and lose party chat.

I have two xboxes on the same network, I start mine first and then we start the second once the ports are open and it's usually fine. But lately; it's not.

at least the members of the forums answer, obviously the people from netduma could care less.

Thats cool, no better power than bad public opinions i guess. thanks anyway.

It's the weekend in the UK, don't you have weekends where you live?

ok so weekend means no support for the product they sell? cut rate much?

yes weekends are a thing here also but people who provide a service still support it on weekends.

you seemed to have made your way on line on a weekend didn't you? when they respond in the middle of the day when there customers hae jobs that doesn't work either does it? Geo filter set at the recommended 2000 km

Yeah but I have no life, lol. Yeah i get booted with geo filter that small. TBH from my little experience with the Netduma i don't think the duma works all that great with Destiny. I think a high end router may be a better choice with Destiny but i am still testing it out. Might be a limitation of the hardware.

Usually if you have more than one gaming console you don't want to use port forwarding. Upnp is the correct setup for multiple consoles. If you must use pf, then put the other Xbox in the dmz. But i highly recommend upnp.

Your not helping yourself very much then are you, by slagging off the netduma forum and staff. A lot of people on here spend a lot of time helping people when they don't have to, they do it in their spare time, and a lot of them know what their talking about. Name me 1 product that has as much support as this one.

Sigh

UPNP doesn't work for me for a variety of reasons, but the short answer is it's actually worse with TWO consoles.

I've been around here since the beginning, and this is really the only problem I've come across.

Also, for those of us who only use the Duma and nothing else, there is no DMZ.

Weekends / Public holidays obviously means fewer staff are working.

Netduma is not a service. Some companies support products at the weekend but even a lot of the large companies don't.

There are other customers, forum users, and some staff, that do offer support at the weekend but they don't have to.

Yes, I made it online at the weekend. But if this were my job and you were my client, I'd ignore you and I'd put you to the back of the queue come Monday.

like i stated earlier, if it weren't for other forum members i wouldn't have gotten any answers. Having your forum community trouble shoot ALL your products issues is NOT support sorry to say.

Like I stated earlier, the staff don't always work at the weekend or on public holidays. That's the way it is with a lot of things.

You're well aware of that so stop with the "I want it now Mumma!" attitude and be patient.

It would help if you created your support thread properly and included all the relevant information in the first place.

The netduma is a NAT router so it should work the same as other routers, if you are having issues with NAT, there is something wrong with your set up, Modem, using instant on feature,  Wireless, and/or a configuration issue.  I did not know the Netduma does not offer a DMZ feature, totally odd. If the UpnP on the Netduma is working how it should you should have no NAT Issues.  Maybe it is a limitation of the hardware but then again I have two multiple consoles and have no NAT issues

Nice cover pic... says it all really, honestly the name and the pic just don't go together AT ALL.

Hope many companies offer 1-1s or free updates to software, or even Admins and moderators helping 24hrs a day ..

Bt shut at 11 when I want support but oh the there's not a live forum like this to help me either.
