Anyway to force p2p over dedi in COD AW?

Hey guys is there anyway to force COD AW to connect me to a player over a dedi? I ask because my experience on the XB1 servers are horrid but being on P2P and being connected to a player host the game is flawless! (Giving a low ping of course) I have lowered my up and down speeds which helps but would love to be connected to a player host over the XB1 dedis all the time. That is until/if the servers get sorted.

Thanks in advance :)

Couldn't you just move your home location to avoid the dedicated servers? :)

I have thought of that but haven't had chance to try it yet, I was thinking doing that it may make it difficult to get games? would it maybe connect me to a player who is connected to a dedi that way?

Either way I will Deffo try it.

Thanks for the rapid reply :)

Haha :D I think it probably would take a long time to find a game - you might not even be able to find a game at all. But it's definitely worth a try. I'm not sure if it would be able to connect you to a player who is connected to a dedi, I think it has to connect you directly to it.

EDIT:

Saying that though, this video by Drift0r says that you can connect through a player to connect to a dedi, so I'm not too sure.

Brilliant Crossy! I will take a look at the video and see if I can find a way around it! Appreciate your input mate :)

He mentions a way to avoid dedis in the video as well - I'm not sure if it would work though :)

This video is old....and his tool he uses is the Duma R1.  I think info maybe irrelevant already.  But if someone does find an answer, let us know because the vast majority of Duma users want to AVOID dedicated servers.

Almost impossible to do on msn network, not enough player count. Even on a X360 it is just not possible to get p2p games consistently. There are workarounds for psn that do work but only on well populated game modes and at peak times, I play a lot of COD on both networks using both generation consoles aside from Xbox One which I do not own. I can tell you that both systems use the same dedicated server banks but they are far more consistent on msn for some reason-better netcode maybe? Anyway the game search for the two networks is very different in my experience and could be part of the reason that it is harder to find p2p on msn. While I agree that the hit detection and game play is MUCH better in p2p, in my opinion it's a pain in the ass having to adjust settings in between every game and shouldn't be the consumers burden. We pay top dollar for these titles, most just to play online, some competitively for money even. Having a mostly broken online experience for competitive play in my eyes is CRIMINAL on the part of the company selling the experience, it should not be on the shoulder of the consumer to make said product work. In my opinion these " New Gen" titles should perform almost flawlessly out of the box period, devs have more time, technology, and resources now more then ever. So in the words of my former assistant manager "No more problems, just solutions" should be their new motto and delivering us the consumer the BEST online gaming experience should be their ONLY priority...

The method for finding only P2P games Raddy is speaking of is considered to be a form of cheating (grey area) so the way to do it i'm pretty sure won't be discussed. The last thing netduma wants is the big 3 banning there product because of suspected unfair advantage or cheating.

true.  was just thinking that but it's probably due to the fact that maybe he's not sponsored by Netduma!  You know how the saying goes, "money talks, bullshit walks"

Besides......i could care less whether he uses the R1 or not!

He does have an R1. He can't talk about it for reasons....

There was a thread that mentioned how to get P2P lobbies but the post was deleted by whsnbn. If you find the thread (which I have tried but can not find it) then I'm sure you could message him or someone else who saw it to ask. It's not supported by Netduma though so I can't really recommend using the method  :)

I think he mentioned in the video he couldn't disclose the 'tools' he were using because of a legality issue or something.

ya i think driftor still has a contract with nighthawk  routers and that method does not work any more :( . only real way to consistently find player hosts is have a party of five or six with strict mode on ping assist to 0ms and wait.... for ever and it will eventually make some one in your party host. it wont allow you to be host for some reason(i think its because people cant connect to u unless they are in your filter range) but at least its someone in your party and they should be close and have good connection anyways.i dont think this method should be considered cheating or manipulating either.
